I concur with the previous review! I own 11 horses and rely on Agwest exclusively for horse veterinary care. I find Steve to be compassionate, reliable, practical, investigative, knowledgeable, and comforting. His follow up goes beyond expectation with unscheduled visits just because he's in the area and has interest to follow up. His quiet, confident handling of my horses eliminates the proverbial tense reaction from horses whenever a vet appears on site. (And I look forward to the newsletters! I've learned a lot. I have worked with many vets in the lower mainland for care of my horses over the years and am pleased to acknowledge Steve and his team at Agwest as my go-to Vets for hitting all the boxes on what my horses deserve. They are knowledgeable and thorough meaning that they will research and consult with colleges for best practices when need arises. They are punctual and responsive. They have always provided me with practical advice and will not hesitate to establish stringent protocols when required. They are always upgrading their skills and following state of the art procedures so I know that my horses will receive the best care available at all times. It is evident that Steve makes it his business to ensure I care about my horses as much as he does and this is what impresses me the most because we care a lot about the welfare of our horses. This is why Agwest has my vote of confidence, approval and respect.

VERY UNSATISFIED! The vet who came out was kind enough, sure, but she didn't do a thorough examination. Did some minor work with a stethescope and said that there was gas. I had to call another vet to come out and properly examine my horse who quickly discovered that there was an impaction colic and she needed to be put on an IV right away. When I tried to discuss the bill with the office manager, she was extremely curt and unhelpful. Be careful with this vet. They'll send a cow doctor to do a horse doctor's job. I am extremely unhappy with this clinic and I will never retain them again.
