I was very disappointed in the treatment that we received for our two conures. We have a Sun Conure and a Green-cheeked Conure. We have used a different clinic in the past; however, upon moving, we thought we would try one closer to home for travel purposes. They had their wings clipped and their claws cut. Typically, only the feathers that provide lift for the birds are neatly cut. In observing, I quickly realized that those were not the ones being cut - but rather the outer feathers (which do not hinder their flying capabilities). Also, we are accustomed to having their claws filed with a dremmel tool - to avoid any bleeding. Here, their claws were cut with clippers which caused them to bleed profusely. The doctor did use silver nitrate to stop the bleeding; however, it was a terrible and disheartening sight. I felt terrible for subjecting my pets to such treatment. The staff and doctor are very nice; I just don't believe they are used to caring for avian friends.

My dog Lily suffers with allergies and constantly scratches herself. She also is allergic to her shots. Dr. Craig Morgan and his staff have been wonderful in treating Lily and have been working to keep her itch free and now able to have her shots. They show nothing but love and concern towards Lily and also me, the worried Mommy. They explain everything to the fullest so I understand what Lily is going though and how I can help her stay comfortable. Dr. Morgan has been a Godsend to Lily and me! I highly recommend Lake Forest Animal Clinic.

I can't begin to tell you how I feel about these folks. 2 years ago, I had a dog who was dying from old age. I couldn't have, nor did I want to , take her to the vet to be put down. I called around and these folks came to my home and gently put down my Angel. She didn't have to face the fear of going to the vet. I didn't have to break my back trying to lift her. He even helped me bury her. We felt that this was beyond thoughtful at this time. We were new to this area and immediately determined that they would be our vet. I actually live in another town from them now but have continued to use them. I also board my pets with them when I go out of town. We have 2 dogs an 2 cats and I trust their care to Lake Forest Animal Clinic. I recommend them absolutely.

Very expensive! The veterinarian ordered lab tests even though I had declined them and he said he would not order them. The office staff did the tests anyway, stating that because of the cat's age (10 years), they didn't have a choice in the matter. They would not remove the lab charges from the bill. When I complained to the veterinarian, Craig Morgan, he said the consent for the dental treatment constituted consent for the lab tests. They charged me $120 for lab tests for which human clinical labs receive less than $35. Dr. Morgan charged me approximately 10 times his direct costs for these tests (CBC and metabolic panel). I know this because I'm a retired registered medical technologist, and did this kind of work (on human specimens). Sum total for a check up and dental cleaning: $384! This for a healthy cat with no other treatments besides the dental cleaning. Not even a flea on his body. Stay away from this so-called professional! I felt that my treatment was predatory, unprofessional and underhanded.

Amazing doctors, amazing nurses, amazing staff! As soon as I walked in I felt like I was dealing with age old friends. Dr. Hodges sat right down on the floor with my black lab, Bella, and paid more attention to detail than any other vet I've ever been to . He also paid more affection and attention to my dog than any doctor before, it was very reassuring that this place will care about my pet as much as I do.
