In 2005, my father was terminally ill with cancer. Unfortunately, his chihuahua Mollie had to be to sleep just a couple of weeks before my daddy passed. He was so sick by this time that he never knew I had taken her to their vet. The day it happened, a Dr.Skidmore was the one that saw Mollie and I. I knew that there was no option at this point but to gently put her to sleep. I was as prepared as possible. What I was NOT prepared for was the manner in which Dr.Skidmore treated this poor dog. He was extremely rough and uncaring. He kept missing the veins and would say, matter of factly, "BLEW THAT ONE". This happened three or four times. I can remember the technician even having a questionable look on her face with his manners. If it weren't for him being associated with that hospital again, I would move my pets there. But my biggest concern is that an emergency would happen one day and he would be the only doctor in the building. Seriously, there are times when I still have visions of how that poor little dog was treated. I was in such a state of shock that I couldn't react and didn't know what to do. Dr.Skidmore, in my opinion, is the worst example of a veterinarian. I've dealt with many through my lifetime, and I would have to put him at the very bottom of that list.
