Dr. Mitchell is by far the best vet I have ever used in 30+ years of pet ownership! He was always generous with his time, not only in caring for my pets, but in giving me detailed explanations of what was going on with them and how to care for them after the visit. When my dog was in the clinic for a few days over the holidays, both Dr. Mitchell and Maggie called with updates, even during off-hours. They always made themselves available for last-minute appointments and emergencies. Great prices too.

This clinic became primary care for our pets immediately after moving to the area due to its location. On the first visit the building & room seemed a bit unclean but the veterinarian, Dr. Mitchell, was so kind and helpful. He even resolved the ear infection our pet was having. His assistant was a bit brash & clearly stated to me how things work "in the South". I let it go thinking she would warm up to us as time went by & we visited with our other pets. Two months later our eldest canine, 17 yrs old, was having issues & nearing the end. No longer able to get food or liquids into him, I contacted this vet during business hours but there was no answer. I then called their emergency number at which time the assistant answered and said "please hold" without asking my name or issue. The emergency number has an area code of 251 (which at this time is not provided on their voice message). A few minutes went by & I stated our issue. She told me they couldn't fit our 17 yr. canine's emergency into the "schedule" for that day because they were all booked up. "No openings" she said. Even worse, she didn't refer me to any other veterinarian or emergency clinic for him. We did find another clinic that day that welcomed us with open arms. Unfortunately our dog did pass away that same day. We were devastated. I would like to add a side note is that we live near & drove by Mitchell Animal Clinic on our way to the other clinic & saw that Mitchell Animal Clinic was in fact not busy. Again we loved our only visit with Dr. Mitchell as a non-emergent veterinarian but I simply cannot recommend this clinic due to the above other reasons.

This is a new place. We left our current vet on Snow and APT to try this place. There fees are low. Great Family business! They give lots of attention to your pet. They are one of the best vets that I have ever visited.

I had an emergency with one of my pets and called Mitchell Animal Clinic. Within 10 minutes of my call, my Golden was receiving treatment. Dr Mitchell and his team (his wife Maggie and their 2 daughters) treated me like a member of their own family. Dr Mitchell is not only gentle with all of his patients and their humans, he is also incredibly gifted in his field. A nice side note is that they charge literally hundreds less than another vet several miles down the road. I would recommend Mitchell Animal Clinic to anyone in need of excellent pet care.
