Okay. Let's start with the good! Good: Nice vets. They know what they are doing, and they do it well and as inexpensive as they can give you. The are relatively quick if you have an appointment. IF. So that's a lot of weight in the good department. On repeat visits, we've never had another issue or a repeat of the bad service we received the first time. Today we had to take our kitten back for an issue with some surgery they did, which they fixed him up for free and only billed the x-ray, exam, and medication totaling out at under 70$. Place still desperately needs a face-lift but don't let that turn you away. These people love your pets and will treat them better than some nicer looking places.
I believe, truly, that my pet received the best care possible in the face of a very guarded prognosis. However, my pet passed away not long after I left her with them and I did not find out until the next morning when I stopped by to see if she was responding to treatment. This communication break down lead to my finding out about my pet's passing in a less than ideal way. That said, Dr. Bramburg showed remarkable bed side manner after being blind sided with a grown man blubbering over his cat. He seems genuinely passionate about his work, which is wonderful to see. The facilities are clean and serviceable, and I would not hesitate to bring an animal to them in the future. Just... remember to call and check up regularly.
I had a puppy I took him to montevallo animal clinic another vet had diagnosed him with parvo so I took him to montevallo animal clinic unfortunately my puppy didn't make it but I know they did what they could
I first came across Montevallo Animal Clinic when I was searching for an affordable place to board my diabetic Persian while away from home for a few days. Their price per day to board was $11! They were so unbelievably good and did not charge anything extra to administer his necessary insulin twice daily. I felt he was in good hands and when I went on future trips I felt comfortable leaving him in their care. It was not until he was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure that I realized how good of hands he was in. Inevitably a terminal disease coupled with the diabetes made the prognosis less than uplifting. Nonetheless, ALL three doctors, Parker, Watkins, and Bamberg went above and beyond to equip me with all tools possible to keep my beloved kitty with me as long and comfortably as possible. These vets are professional, compassionate, and will go to lengthy measures to provide the utmost care. Dr. Bamberg called me after hours on a Saturday and was extremely thoughtful to make sure that I had the necessary meds to get through the weekend and went out of his way to get them to me. Dr. Watkins called me on her day off to update me on the research that she did concerning the dual diseases. Dr. Parker ALWAYS thoroughly addressed all my questions and concerns and gave me clinical and logical explanations which is precisely what I needed! The bottom line is that Montevallo Animal Clinic's prices are VERY fair (I have a multi-cat household and have been financially abused by other vets particularly when faced with emergencies). You will not find that here. My cats received the care they needed. As busy as this clinic gets, the vets were thorough and showed genuine concern for BOTH my animals as well as for me. That is what makes this animal clinic special.
