PIP'S STORY When our kitty Pip was about 9 months old, I noticed that he did not seem to be gaining weight. In fact, Pip appeared to be losing weight. Then, he developed a sway in his hind legs which quickly worsened. I took him in to Central Valley where blood tests revealed that he had feline HIV. It appeared to be a death sentence and I was devastated. Dr. Alverson told me that there was a chance he might respond to treatment with interferon. Though I have pet insurance, the insurance company refused to pay for his care. We love our kitty very much and figured that it was worth a try. The cost for the medicine was very reasonable, about the cost of a human prescription covered by health insurance. Today, we have a thriving and healthy kitty because he responded immediately to the medication. He is still doing well and I am so grateful to the staff for suggesting this course of treatment. We have several animals and they have all received wonderful treatment from the caring vets there. Each of the three vets has treated my animals. They each have handled a serious pet health problem with empathy. If you have a kitty with HIV, it would be well worth it to give treatment a try. Pip sends his love and thanks. I will try and post a photo of Pip today so that you can see for yourself. Ya'll are The Best!
I had a very sick dog that i had to carry to this vet with no other option. When i contacted them the first thing out of their mouth was do you have a debit card or cash! They were not concearned about my issue with my pet just did I have the money! After 400.00 dollars and about 25 mins at their office they sent me home with my pet to tell me he had worms! I spoke with the Vet asking them would this cause my pet not to drink or eat and they said yes! i sayed up All night with my pet laboring to just breath. When the sun came up I loaded my pet up and carried him to our Family Vet DR.Roger Adams in Boaz. The only reason I used this vet in Rainbow City was due to our vet was out of town. After 10 mins at DR.Adams the diagnosis was PARVO! They Never tested my dog for nothing but worms and charged me $400 dollars and told me to check back monday if he didn't get to feeling better. DR. Adams said he would have NEVER made it till monday! I will NEVER revisit this place! I feel like they are a VERY POOR Place to call themself a Vet!!! Feel like I was just ripped off! NEVER go to this place with a Very Sick Pet! They Don't CARE about YOU or YOUR PET, Just want your Money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
