The veterinarians and staff are friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and compassionate. The facility is clean. Their service prices are very reasonable. We live about 45 minutes from the clinic so when we bring our dog(s) in for routine care, they let us leave her/him/them there after the visit so that we can complete errands that we've combined with the trip to town ... for free. If one of our dogs is sick, they give us the facts, alternatives for treatment and the respective costs. They answer every question and don't rush us. They handle our dogs gently. Our vet gives our each dog a treat after her/his exam. They do not whitewash bad news. We've had to euthanize two of our old dogs. Each time our vet was kind enough to let us keep Hoss and, then five weeks later, Jack, in our vehicle and came out from the clinic to administer the drug. In that way, our dogs were in a familiar place, in our arms and able to pass with love. We then took each home and buried them in our yard. I do not hesitate to recommend the folks at the Boone County Veterinary Clinic to anyone. They are good folks and love animals.
Dr. Whitmore is wonderful with the animals. He explains everything he is doing and what should be done in case of a problem. I have been going to this clinic for 17 years and feel my pets are getting the best care possible. I like the fact they usually have room to keep my dogs after the visit so I can run to the store while I'm in town without charge., I have not used the grooming there but I see lots of dogs coming out looking great. I have used the clinic on an emergency basis and the Dr. Evens met me at the clinic and admitted my dog. I like that there are enough physicians that I can have aftercare at the same clinic. I have had to euthanize a couple of dogs and the staff was nothing but companionate towards me and my pet. All the staff is very polite and professional.
The staff and doctor's were fabulous in the care of our dog in his last months of living. They were soooo wonderful. Very compassionate. They have taken care of our animals for the last 12 years. They are cat people and dog people. Highly recommend them!
They helped me with my 2 dogs and they are very nice people and very kind to the animals
I had taken my 13 year old dog into this Clinic to be humanely euthanized after trying everything I could to make his life comfortable. I paid a considerable amount of money to have his remains cremated and returned to me. The Staff at this Clinic made the entire process extremely difficult and when I finally went to pick up his remains they were downright rude. No one should ever be made to feel this way and certainly not during such a difficult time.
