I take my puppy here every day for day care. The staff is incredibly friendly. They all know my name and greet me when I come in. The doctor is very knowledgable and treats my dog well. The nurses all love my puppy and make me very comfortable leaving him in their care. I highly recommend this vet for day care / boarding / healthcare.

Dr. Ryan does not show the compassion needed to be a vet, at least he did not with my pets. I have 3 examples which exemplify his lack of compassion. Once while examining my ferret, the ferret bit him and he flung the ferret several feet to the ground. Another time, Dr. Ryan got physically abrasive with my dog (pushing his rear down on the weight scale, making him get up on the scale when he was clearly nervous) causing my pet to have a #2 accident. My dog had not had an accident of this kind before or after. The final straw was when he failed to help my ferret who I later found out was dying of cancer. I decided to take the ferret to a specialist in Memphis since Dr. Ryan offered no treatment or tests for the ferret who was emaciated and dragging her hind legs. When the Memphis vet's office contacted Dr. Ryan, he was rude and unhelpful telling the employee that he was eating dinner and he acted as if they were bothering him. Really?!? As a vet, he should know how important people's pets are to them, and he should show more compassion in dealing with pets and their owners. I was disappointed in him as a vet and as a human being. I would not recommend him to anyone. I wish I had recognized the initial warning signs, but now I know what he's like, then I can let others know the kind of vet he really is. I found a different vet on Gee Street who is very kind and compassionate to all my pets, and this has been true over the course of several years. Regardless of who you choose, make sure the vet shows the care and consideration that you would show your pets.
