I've been taking my dogs (5 all together) to Codornices for about 25 years, and also a few pet rats. All my babies have gotten consistently loving care and good advice. I was a little worried when Dr. Hack started to retire, and new, younger doctors were hired. However, every one of them who has provided care for my dogs has been just as wonderful and caring as Dr. Hack. When my dogs have developed terminal conditions, there was always objective information provided about pros and cons of various treatments, but never pressure to over treat, or to do anything that I felt was inappropriate. They also provide excellent referrals to specialists when needed, and work seamlessly with them. I can't imagine taking my babies anywhere else!

Since we moved to the East Bay, my wife and I have searched high and low for a vet we love for our two cats. Admittedly, we set the bar high, looking for a clinic that not only makes us feel like we have the most special pets in the world, but one that makes them as comfortable as possible while providing the best service. Their rates are affordable too! Dr. Yoo and the rest of the staff are very knowledgable, and it is obvious that they are all animal lovers. We fully recommend Codornices Veterinary Clinic.

I have been going to Codornices Vet for over 30 years. I am a cat aficionado, and all my cats throughout the years have been their patients. They are the very, very best. Dr. Richard Hack, who started the practice, has been our Vet from the start, and though he has now sold the practice and works there only part time, he has been careful to hire only the most caring and compassionate staff. You simply cannot find better people to take care of your animals, whether its a well-animal checkup, a sick animal in need of diagnosing, or the end of life and time to let go help you seek. I cannot recomend them highly enough!

We've taken our two cats to Codornices for 9 years. It's the 5th practice we've tried, and the best. What I love is that I can always count on having an intelligent conversation with the Codornices veterinarians about whatever challenges we are facing. When one of our cats needed to be vaccinated after having a life-threatening reaction to a vaccine, we discussed the pros and cons of continuing to vaccinate her and a process for reintroducing her to vaccines safely--and the vet did not pressure me into any particular choice. The vets at this practice are caring, compassionate, and respectful, toward me and toward my pets. It's a stellar place, and we'll continue to take our cats there for the duration of their lives.

through sickness and in health this vet stood by our beloved pooch (and me) every inch of the way. Rich Hack, and the other docs, when he was not available, were superb in their care and handling. Rich is a gift from the gods, and I'm not a believer.. His thoughtfulness and intelligence, humor, and straightforwardness made our frequent visits enjoyable - even with a very sick dog. He was there right up to the very end.. The front desk folk are all lovely, efficient and empathetic people. Their pricing is far more in a sane ballpark than VCA, I wouldn't hesitate to go back there should we jump into the world of pets again..
