Never have I been to a place that treated me worse or belittled me more. Right away I got the vibe that the Vet himself didn't have one care for me or my dog, great feeling -- so lets continue. From the get-go he asked how I got my dog and when I tried to be general about how I rescued my dog (to save from having to mention the fact that I rescued him from a meth-lab) the Vet exclaims that I should have checked if he was some one else dog, etc. Great way to start off the visit by accusing me of stealing a pet from someone else without knowing the full story. Then he reviews my dogs history, they look into the fact he had parvo (which in all my research online and listening to stories from co-workers, I was already convinced this dog was gonna die and it scared the living day lights out of me already) he mentions that I shouldn't expect for him to live much longer and that he might just up and die in a few months (BTW, he has survived parvo for a year now to the day!) Not that I'm upset he was being realistic, but everyone and their mothers tell me that he could just up and die and I'm pretty tired of hearing people mention it so insensitively when I just love this little dog so. Next he lectures me on worming my dog and picking ear hairs (the ear hair thing I knew about and I do it when I don't take him to get groomed) he insists that we should worm him just in case even though I mentioned that I was pretty sure I paid for him to be wormed at the shot clinic (which after reviewing my documents later I saw that he was, they had this record and could have checked but apparently they are too money hungry to verify anything). Of course tacks on an UN-necessary fee to my bill to worm him. The visit by the way was simply for a cherry eye that I didn't know anything about that eventually went away after the use of prescribed eye drops. I guess I might be able to thank them for that except for I found the problem to be intermittent, and it wasn't life threatening and probably didn't even need the eye-drops. I was so excited to find a vet close to home but geeze -- I should have known better than to leave the Plaza Blvd Pet Hospital, it is a little bit father away but at this point I see that it was worth it for their service. If you're in Chula Vista then the Southbay Pet Hospital is another great institution. This place is just god awful and I've been to vets that do more to make you feel at home and welcome, people who actually enjoy their jobs and don't treat you like the shitty scum of the earth that this place is.

I just read a couple of reviews and I think they have the wrong vet. This place is great. I won't take my animals anywhere else.

I've been taking my Kitty to this hospital for 4 years; Doctor Sevier is wonderful, very competent, loves animals, and is a pleasure to deal with. The staff are delightful too. I always was able to get a same day appointment and get help for Kitty. Highly recommend them to anybody!

Dr. Sevier really loves animals, was great with my dogs. The service in the office is great. The prices are reasonable. Any it's in a beautiful area. Can't get any better than this.

The white haired man touched my dog inappropriately. He has a belligerent attitude.
