Despicable. Vicky is the # 1 WORST office manager and probably communicates better with the animals they fail to properly treat at Vetco than the poor customers that bring the pets in. This place should go right on everyone's MUST MISS LIST and Vicky should take some lessons on how to communicate effectively with humans and to treat people with respect, even if they are smarter than her...
(posted this on Yelp, but just want to warn the general public) horrendous. I'm a first-time kitten owner. I had just saved a little cat from a high-kill shelter and immediately took him to VETCO to have a checkup. While the vet staff were nice, DR. RAYMOND was a mess. During my new kitten's exam, I had a feeling that RAYMOND was rushing the process... and after tonight, I'd say my initial judgement was correct. RAYMOND quickly prescribed medicine for my cat while 80% of the conversation focused on hooking me into their ridiculous pet insurance policy. Tonight, as I was petting my new kitten, I noticed some bumps on his coat. Upon further inspection, a HORDE OF FLEAS came rushing from under his fur. Tell me, RAYMOND, how does a certified doctor ("of 8 years") not check for something as simple as fleas? Thanks, but no thanks. Ever. I'll be calling to try to get my money back for the incompetent checkup.
Horrible service. I called 3 times and no one returned my calls. my dog was fixed at the Pasadena VETCO which has now suddenly been closed down. My dog is having problems with the surgery she had at the Pasadena location and I was referred to the Burbank VETCO by the Petco Corporate Office. I would never recommend these hospitals to anyone.
WARNING TO ALL PEOPLE THAT TAKE THERE PETS TO THIS LOCATION!!!! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! First I only put 1 star because it is required to fill out a rating. The girl vet that works there is not very experienced and looks to be young and new to being a vet. I took my 8-9 month old kitten there and already knowing she has neorological problems was there because she was constipated. To make a long story short the vet told me after feeling the cats stomach for about 5 minutes and doing no other testing that her kidneys are not developing and she is blind! Then she told me I should put the cat to sleep! I was shocked and scared and even crying. After leaving I went to 3 other seperate Vets and they all were shocked at what I told them the Vetco Vet had said. They all spent alot more time then she did doing test as far as feeling my kittens stomach and doing different things that the Vetco vet had not and told me simply she was stoped up at the end of her colon and they helped relieve my cat and then gave me some simple sugestions of what to do along with a stool softner. All 3 other Vets I went to told me the same thing without them knowing what each Vet had told me so I trust that 3 Vets saying the sane thing I could trust and at no time did they tell me to put my cat to sleep or that she was blind?!?! It makes me wonder how many peoples pets or family members as I call mine she has sentenced to death. I waited a few months before posting this review just so I knew my cat was ok before telling people this story so I know for sure how wrong the Vetco Vet had been. My cat is still alive months later and doing great. I really hope people read this so nobody has to lose a cat or dog or other family member like I almost did for no reason. This is the Vetco next door attached to the Petco on Victory just so people are clear what location I am talking about. I now take my kitty to a few other vets close to the area but will never trust a Vetco again.
I run a Pomeranian Rescue and we would not go anywhere else! Dr. Misty has saved many lives for us! She is top of the line. She is very straight forward and does not do anything that is un-needed. She is very accurate with diagnosis and treatment. Everytime we bring her a new furbaby she treats them with the same care and respect she did the last. They are also wonderful about helping us get the grants we need to get the treatments that are sometimes costly for our emergency care dogs coming in from abuse and neglect situations. We cannot thank the caring staff and doctor here enough! ~ Rescue Coordinator Jackie Clemens
