WATCH OUT FOR STEPHANIE!!! - - - - DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO THIS PLACE OVER THE PHONE !!!! - - - - $160 for regular exam appointments, and $260 for their "EMERGENCY SLOT" during a given day when they're "BOOKED UP". Who know's if they really are or not when you call. Regardless, emergencies happen on both sides of the coin. I had made an appointment based on a search online for an ophthalmologist for my dog and had to cancel it. Granted, it was short notice, but if it wasn't, it wouldn't be deemed an emergency. Instead of understanding, Stephanie told me if I canceled, I'd have to pay the $260 anyway as a cancelation fee. I stated, "you never told me about a cancelation fee on the phone earlier". She insisted she did, and stated I'd be held responsible. I wish I had also read the reviews online rather than just found their website. THEY ARE AFTER YOUR MONEY ONLY!!!! RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!! RUN I TELL YOU!!! As for me, I promise Animal Eye Clinic one thing. I WILL NOT RUN FROM YOU!!! I've never even visited you once, you had no understanding, I never agreed to a hold on my card or cancelation fee. It was my ignorance for not having asked why you guys were asking for my credit card info over the phone before the visit even occurred. But I wont be making mistakes from here on. Again, I WILL NOT RUN FROM YOU!!!! You have attempted to take advantage of the wrong person and I will sue you in court if you persist in taking this matter further! Cease and desist, or this will only be the beginning of a legal battle yet to come. Think $260 is fair? I've got some larger amounts in mind I'll be aiming to collect. I'll be contacting my attorney tomorrow. Fact! not a threat.
I found a litter of kittens of which 3 were missing an eye and the other eye was missing part of the eyelid. To make a long story short - the hairs around the cats eyes were rubbing the eye raw. Not good. Most of the vets I went to didn't have expertise in this field so I was send to the Animal Eye Clinic in Camarillo (I'm from Simi Vallley). They saved me.. thousands from what I can tell. The only cat I adopted out to another family ended up having to get extensive surgeries, etc. and who knows if that was even necessary.. but it cost them a lot of money. The Eye Clinic in Camarillo will tell you straight up if your pet needs the surgery or not. They did tell me about a few procedures my cat might benefit from but there was no pressure, they even said NOT to do anything yet. I'm due back there in 4-6 months to see if the eye condition has gotten worse or not. In that case I have the option of getting a procedure done. For now I'm going to hit the grocery store and pick up some gel lubricant for his eye and he should be good to go. If you want an up front, honest, no PRESSURE vet, go here. I seriously am very happy with them.
