I've just switched veterinary clinics! I love Dr. Langeman. I liked her the moment she stepped into the room. Wonderful staff too! I'm so glad to find a vet who actually cares about our animals! Wish I had found her years ago!

I brought my Yorkie in a few weeks ago without an appt and they took us in no problem. I filled out all the required paperwork. Today I came in, again w/o an appt, and they told me they don't accept walkins. But they said they could work me in. Since I was bringing in my other dog I had to fill out more paperwork, which is understandable. However, after I spent the time to fill out the info the receptionist told me they didn't have a file for me. Like I hadn't walked-in before or filled out any paper work and I imagined paying them $135! This business has been rated consistently poor for good reasons. DON'T BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!

It seems like these folks took their pets to another vet. I have been taking my animals (bunny and cats) to Porte for the past 10 years. I have always had a good experience from the phone call to the treatment. My most recent was for my cat's infection. Once of the big reasons I like Porte is that no matter what I can always get in to see them when I need to - when your cat has an absess (sp) it is an emergency!

Well the vet tech was really nice but the doctor and the receptionist were thumbs down. Receptionist thought doing filing was more important than greeting me when I came to her desk, and nasty at payment time. As for the head Doctor (a groomer referred me to) - I took my dog in to get some cysts looked at and she said she would aspirate them. I asked how much it would cost (c/n remember now - maybe $20 a cyst). She proceeded to jab him in the side (with a syringe) where the cyst was without a vet tech to hold him or any cleaning of the site. Then she did 2 more before I could say no as I was shocked and concerned about my dog. He was moving around and I did not know what the H*** she was doing. I could have done better!! Then I asked to look at the slide when she stained it. She showed it to me and said some obvious bubbles (since I worked in a lab before) were fat cells. NOT! What a waste of my time and money.
