TMy neighbour took her two year old cat to be neutered after having 2 lots of kittens. She loves cats. They brought her home Monday afternoon and on Tues morning she was dead. Couldn't breathe , seizures and that was it. Her kittens mourning her. Very upsetting but listen to this. One year ago she took her young male cat to the same vet to be neutered. Came home by the next morning he was dead. Died in exactly the same way!!!. She did nothing about it at the time, as she thought it was allergic response , one unusual occurrence. Now one year later the same thing. The two cats were not family related. The Vet reception gave her back her money and sent her a bereavement card!! But she has asked to speak to the vet who did the op and guess what , no response. He is the same vet who did the first cat. The vet reception took the body and cremated it. My neighbour realises this was a mistake as she should have had an autopsy. She was told cremations can take up to two weeks so she asked for the body back. Guess what , it was cremated in 2 days!!!. Wonder why? She wants to get this vet stopped because goodness knows how many other people have had similar experiences with him. She would like to sue but cannot afford huge legal bills but at least stop him practising. symptoms are like poisoning. Dr. Martin has been my veterinarian for nearly 25 years. That being said, if I wasn't happy with the treatment he provides my pets, why would I be a client for that long a period? If you want a veterinarian to sugar-coat your pet's condition - go elsewhere. If you want a veterinarian to gouge you financially - go elsewhere. If you want a veterinarian who is inexperienced - go elsewhere. If you want a REAL VETERINARIAN who CARES: This is Dr. Martin.
First visit here and to Dr Martin for my mother's cat to find peace. The staff and Dr were sensitive to the situation, gentle and expressed sorry repeatedly. I was referred to them for their low cost procedure $60, other places quoted $250 - $111. They treated Pumpkin with love and care. I highly recommend this place. The older reviews seem to be prior to Dr Martin purchasing the business. I have learned that service with price is important. You want someone that cares. Dr Martin is the one!
Dr. Worell is an expert caring for all kinds of pets...dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rodents, reptiles, exotics..,plus she is an Avian specialist. Dr. Worell is caring and knowledgeable, and very thorough. Staff truly cares. Good service. Clean clinic. Highly recommended. Was referred by another local veterinarian (that says a lot)...so glad we found her! Thank you, Dr. Worell! 5+ stars! Excellent!!
Stay away from this VET. They do not care about your animal. Only about making money. A couple of years ago, I took my very sick sheep dog to All Pet's Medical Centre very early in the morning. The day we went in happened to be the Friday before Labor Day weekend so choosing this vet was an irrevocable decision. My dog, "Tiger" was in distress and they told me that he might have a bladder stone blocking his ability to urinate. He needed an X-Ray they said and if the X-Ray proved he had a stone, then they would need to do immediate surgery. They told me that I had to pay the $200 for the X-Ray in advance of them doing the test. So I wrote them a check. It took them a few hours to get to my dog and get back with me. Finally, they told me that yes, he had a bladder stone and needed surgery to live. “Fine”, I said “do the surgery”. Then they proceeded to tell me that Dr. Worrell could not do the surgery because she had a lunch appointment and had decided to take the rest of the day off after her appointment. Since Monday was Labor Day, the soonest she could do the surgery was Tuesday. I asked them to find another doctor and they just shrugged. I went home and for the next two hours frantically called every vet I could find in the phone book to see who would give up their Labor Day weekend to operate and care for my dog. Finally we found a vet in Van Nuys and I regret I don’t remember his name because he was so kind. We then rushed back to All Pets demanding our dog be turned over to us so we could rush him to Van Nuys for surgery. They stared at me blankly and stated “but the dog already died”. For those of you who know, losing a pet of 8 years can feel like losing a child. Their complete lack of concern or sympathy utterly struck me. Needless to say, I stopped the $200 check (Peta informed me that I could only sue them for the actually value of the dog if I would have sold him – and lawsuits cost about $40K to get through). But they sued me for stopping the check. The judge stated flatly “Couldn’t you have killed her dog for less than $200?” He ruled in my favor. The punch line is that even though I won, they sent the $200 to a collection agency who put a mark on my credit. My own attorney had to threaten the collection agency to stop harassing me or be sued themselves.
