My girlfriend and I first went to Dr. Shazhad because we had a 17-year-old cat in kidney failure. He was so patient with us and helped us understand what was worth trying and what would be pushing her too hard. It was a very difficult time for us and he made it so much better. She did pass away about a week later, but it he did help us make that week better for her. We also brought our two kittens there while we were in the area. They were careful and patient and kind to our cats. They gave us great advice and helped us keep our kittens in tip top health. When we told him we were moving away (I live in Florida now), he advised us about different health concerns for a cat in that area of Florida versus living in West Hills, CA. He also told me that if I had an issues or concerns after I move, or if I was worried about advice I got from another vet, that I could call him and ask for advice. Today, I did just that and he was happy to help. They have been nothing but wonderful to us and our cats. I would recommend them to anyone living within driving distance.

I adopted my cat from Kitten Rescue. They took him to another vet at the corner of Ventura Blvd and Topanga, I think its So Cal Veternary. They were expensive, and all about getting more visits out of you. Each time I went its was over or close to $100, the vet was never specific about the skin irritation. I went to Dr. Shahzad, immediately he gave me a tiny tube of cream, and some spray, said the cone I had before was too small and it was not helping the situation. He also gave me the proper size cone. 2 days later my cats skin irritation was gone, all cleared up. Dr. Shahzad takes his time, he examines your animal from stem to stern, does not get involved on the phone or with other patients while you are being seen by him with your animal. The prices are so reasonable, affordable, they are not about making $$$$, its quality care all the way, even the girls who work up front are courteous, caring and treat you with respect. The office is clean, but it is not a show place, so if your into fancy go elsewhere.

These other reviews were right! Just as one person wrote, Dr. Shahzad is not about the money. He is all about the health and happiness of your pet. Knowledgeable, courteous, respectful, and gentle. I feel good about taking my pets to him and that is great peace of mind! Vesna Davis
