We lost our little Mittsy almost a month ago. Mittsy was a calico polydactyl who was in my life for 20 years and her passing was the hardest thing we've ever had to endure and still continue to struggle with. At the time we were fairly new to the Otay area and needed a veterinarian who would take exceptional care of our 18 year old cat. Words cannot express how blown away we were when we began taking Mittsy to Otay Pet Vets. And although Dr. Kinabe did everything in her power to keep Mittsy alive and well for the last 2 years of her life, the time came where she had to be put down. Our gratitude and heartfelt thanks goes out to all of you in being so thoughtful, loving and caring. A special thank you to Dr. Urbina, who had such sincerity in being so patient and thorough in explaining everything before we decided to put Mittsy down. And Dr. Knabe, we are at a loss for words........you are such an amazing doctor and there are not words to describe how truly sincere and loving you are; toward not only your animals, but the family members as well. We will forever be grateful for your talent and passion in veterinary medicine and your warm heart. Thank you for your loyalty in keeping our little girl in our lives as long as you could. Last, but definitely not least, is our heartfelt thanks to Sheri, Ashley, and Scarlete. You girls have such huge caring hearts and I will never forget how loving and sincere you all were in our time of sorrow in putting her down and when I came back for her ashes. Thank you for the beautiful sympathy card and the cremation that was offered through Peaceful Paws; also such an amazing and genuine experience!!!!! You all are the best ever and we have nothing but amazing things to say about all of you and Otay Pet Vets!!! Thank you again and we look forward to bringing our future pets to you!!!! Dr Anderson is the best!! The staff is patient, courteous and polite. They love my pets and their jobs. Treat my four legged children like the family members they are!!! I have been going there for seven years and even drove from North County because there is no other vet for my pets!!!!! Mischou, Chewy, Lita and Max love you OTAY PET VETS!!!!

I have only positive things to say about Dr. Anderson and his staff. Today I had to make the hardest decision of my life, and put my sick, 15 year old dog to sleep...after trying for weeks to help her. Had I taken her anywhere else for this, I would feel so much regret and guilt right now (above the agony I am already dealing with) But this tough decision was easier for me because I trust Dr. Anderson, he really cares. He is a genuinely good person and a true professional. Although I just recently started taking my dog there, I immediately felt comfortable with him, more than any other vet I have ever met...NO COMPARISON.... and I know he had my dog's best interest in mind. If you want the best for your pet, take them to the Otay Pet Vets. They don't lead you on, they don't screw you over, they tell you the truth. 10 stars.

I am a very happy customer - i would highly recommend to any of my friends. The Vet and staff was very friendly, helpful and caring. The Vet has a great personality, showed he really cares about the animals, with only a few minutes, i know my dog was in good hands. I believe the Vet has experience as my dog healed without any complications. i had just moved to the area and did not have a Vet. my dog had an emergency ( attacked by coyote in the middle of the night), they took her first thing in the morning (as it was not life threating) to Otay Vets. I did not have time to shop around for price comparisions. Of course my bill was over $250 for sutures and the rest of the procedures including medications. the facitily was CLEAN and new. I have been to other places were i do not understand the Vet ( heavy foreign accent), or dirty smelling places and still come out with a large bill.

I took my lab Stella for a checkup with Dr, Anderson the visit was great! I highly recommend this vet clinic, the facility was very clean and the staff were very helpful. I didnt have to wait long they put me in a room right away and I was out the door in no time! Dr. Anderson is by far the best Vet I've taken Stella to. Go to him if you want fast, efficient, knowledge on your pet!
