The store has a great selection of quality products and the pet clinic can't be beat for vaccines and basic care. For the popular low cost clinic you will likely wait awhile, so come prepared, However, as you are waiting you can admire all the other pets.

I tell everyone who has a pet about this wonderful very reasonably priced store & clinic. They have been great with my pets and numerous friends pets. I've yet to hear a bad review. Sometimes there's a wait at the clinic, but it's 1st come 1st serve, drop-in only, no appt.'s, however the services they provide are well worth the wait. I find the staff to be exceptionally helpful and always willing to give suggestions, as long as you provide all the info on the situation. Thanks PetVet Oakland for doing an Awesome job.

This is the best pet food store in the East Bay. The staff are wonderful, warm, and well informed. The store is beautifully maintained and well-stocked. We love this place!

I like petvet the clinic is very nice just walkins OMG you can wait forever....I like that you can feed your dog while you wait!!

Petvet Petfood is a terrific resource for the East Bay. Marliss and Karl are caring, and excellent, vets. Angie, the office manager, is very helpful for those who need something unusual. Steve in the back, and the counter staff are great. Aside from all these fine people, the store carries the best foods at the best prices. Hill's Prescription Diet and Innova Evo are still way, way, way too expensive...but less so here than anywhere else. Marliss and Karl are good people. If we're being gouged, it's by Hill's, not Petvet. I've been with these people, first at the Oakland store and then in El Cerrito, for 19 years now. Highly, highly recommended.
