I want to compliment the people at Mission Animal Clinic. I have a cat, Sylvester that I am very attached to. She became lethargic, didn't want to go outside, or eat. I picked her up and she was limp in my arms. I called Mission Animal Clinic and they told me to bring her right in. When I got there, I was shown into a room and Gabriel came in and asked me about what was going on. The vet came in within minutes and was very concerned and compassionate. He was very gentle with Sylvester. He told me that he needed to run tests - I expressed that I was on a limited budget, and he was completely understanding. He told me that she needed blood tests and that she had a fever. He sent us home with antibiotics. I got a call the next day from Bill who told me that it was not good news. Sylvester was in kidney and liver failure. I was beyond sad when I heard the news. He suggested that I bring her in and they would give her IV fluids and antibiotics for a few days and take blood again. Sylvester stayed in the hospital for 6 days. I visited her every day, and each time that I came into the clinic, Daniel or Gabriel would bring her into me and took the e-collar off so we could be close. Each day, she seemed to be feeling just a little better. At the end of the 6 days, they took blood again; the results came in the next day and her numbers had improved slightly. I was able to take Sylvester home and she is eating and drinking and hopefully will have a few more years with me. I cannot say enough about their compassion, friendliness and professionalism.
The place is awesome. I've never been to other vets before but I'd imagine this is what a good animal clinic is like. Not sure if the prices are the cheapest in the valley though
This is the only Vet I take my dogs to. It's really sad to see all the bad reviews because they really are top notch. Whether it's having to stitch my dog or put one to sleep they're always kind and understanding. Just last week my 9lb chihuahua was attacked by a pit bull mix. It was so bad Dr Nahkla wasn't sure if she could be saved. He tried to save her and did what he absolutely could to make that happen. 2 days later Chi Chi was released from the hospital and is in great spirits. She's recovering at home, but I tell you the staff and doctors here are GREAT! I thank all of you for your patience, care and services. Donna, Danny and Dr Nahkla are amazing...the other names I don't know but Chi Chi thanks all of you!!!
