DO NOT GO HERE!!! These people are by far the worst vet's of the Hi-Desert, I brought my dog in to be treated for seizure's they wanted $500.00 upfront to help her!, I didn't have it, so they offered to give her valium to stop the seizure's the man claiming to be a vet gave her a shot, he claimed it had no effect, so he gave her another, still no effect, another!! 5 min latter she was dead!!! this "DOC" had no idea what he was doing!!! I have found out since that Valium need to be administered thru IV over time according to the weight of the dog not thru injection!! and to top it off he still insisted on payment for the office visit and the shot!! I am not a happy camper!

We came here with a cat that we found that had been hit by a car and wandered into our yard. We didn't have much money to spend, but felt that we had to try and get this kitty help. The hospital was unable to offer any payment plans, but they DID try to work with us because they appreciated what we were doing for an animal that wasn't even our own. We didn't have to pay for x-rays on the cat's swollen head, which is what would have normally had to happen before any action was taken. He could tell we were stressing about the cost and didn't have many options. Instead they gave him a steroid shot to bring down the swelling since the vet didn't think anything was broken. We showed up without an appointment, fairly late at night and were seen rather quickly. The employees all seemed friendly and they even called us the day after our visit to follow up and make sure the cat was doing okay. Their costs seem to be lower than many other local places so we have since also gotten a cat neutered there, and intend to return to fix our dog. I think it's important for any pet owner to have a quality medical center to take all their animals to so they don't have to waste time searching when the need for one arises. I'm glad we found ours!

Its been a couple of months now, I brought my dog here because he had a skin infection that caused his hair to fall off. When I brought my dog one of the vets took a look at him,and made me pick my dog up and place him on top of a table, my dog is about 95lb, instead of analyzing him on the floor- all he was doing is looking at his skin. I old the vet that the dog kept getting ''ticks,'' not to many but that the shampoo, and tick repellent i was using didn't seem to be doing the job of keeping the ticks off. When he was done analyzing him he lowers the table that my dog was on, Wish i would have known the table goes up and down instead of lifting a 95lb dog. Then someone comes in with a bill of 568.32; the dog needed blood sample to determine what the problem , medication, a shot, and tick repellent. I told them why they were giving me medication when they didn't know what was wrong with my dog. They told me the pills might help my dog. So i decided not to get anything and just paid the office visit. I took my dog to his normal vet in Ontario and as soon as he saw the dog he told me the ticks were the problem and sold me a very strong shampoo that kept the ticks off. A week later my dog was fine, my normal vet is a professional that knows what he's doing, Animal Medical Center are a bunch of idiots that try to get as much money out of people and are very incompetent on treating animals.

I have always had a great experience with AMC, they take such good care of my Hershey and Muneca. Sometimes adding in a few extras, for my girls. I especially like the fact they will give you a list of expenses if you choose to have them done but they do not pressure you into it if it is not life threatening, they are just suggestions. The fact, that they do not charge extra for weekends and evenings is a huge plus, nobody needs that extra expense and they are always available. Thank you AMC for caring for my babies as I would.

After several days of decline I knew that my 10+year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was ready to go to the Rainbow Bridge. I woke up at 6am and Harley couldn't get up. I called AMC as soon as they opened. They got us an appt. right away. I can't say enough great things about the folks here. They were kind and compassionate. You could tell they really cared. The Dr. (sorry didn't get his name) was also wonderful. As hard as it was, I had to say goodbye to my best friend. The staff at AMC made it as easy as could possibly be given the circumstance. I'll be forever grateful and will never take any pet anywhere else. Thank you for caring about our fur babies!
