yesterday i took my little girl Mensa in for a spay and a angel looked out for us at highland village pet hospital. i actually found this place online and in comparison to the humane society this one was closer to my house and the low cost spay clinic on tuesday beat any other price around. thank you to all the staff for taking care of my boxer Mensa we are very greatful for all you did for us we appreciate it soo much! i just wanted to take a moment and show my appreciation. i love that my doggie whos part of our family was taken great care of and the staff answered every question i had and gave me instructions on what to expect. thank you highland village pet hospital.

When I heard there was a local vet that offered discounted rates for neutering and spaying pets on Tuesdays, I was a little concerned about the quality of the work being done. But being unemployed and needing the cheapest possible price, I went for it. And I am VERY happy with the results. The wait was minimal, I waited maybe 20 min to get my dog in for surgery (filling out paperwork, etc), and when I brought him back to get the sutures taken out, I didn't wait at all and it only took 2 min. They answered all of my questions and was very helpful. I never did meet the actual Vet, so I cannot say much about that. However, the staff was very sweet and they all were very kind. And even with a pet that can't stay still for more than 2 min and insisted on being active right after surgery, I never had any issues with the sutures. I will continue using this pet hospital for the general care of my pet.

We waited for over forty mintues in the waiting room just for a microchip (takes about 1 1/2 minutes and a VetTech can do it). Whilst waiting, I was concerned about keeping my dog calm as she had been spayed a week prior and was on restricted activity until her sutures came out. She was a rescue and is about a year old but lacks training so keeping her calm in the office was difficult. I asked numerous times why everything was taking so long, and kept hearing "just a few more minutes". Finally when we DID get in a room, I asked Dr. Yohan to check her suture site as while we'd been waiting for SO long with her constantly sitting up and me having her sit back down, and her general scrambling to play and run around, she'd stretched her sutures a little and it seemed there was some mild seepage of blood. I was concerned about it as a week later (after her spay)that shouldn't be happening. He checked the site and was not concerned, just said it "was fine; there's just a little blood". 20 mintues later, my dog's insides were ouside on her stomach and I ended up taking her to emergency where she had to be put under again and re-sutured. I would strongly advise everyone NOT to use this pet hospital.
