The staff has been great during a difficult time. A friend of mines dog seems to have gotten into some rat poison and they have been doing everything possible to work with the limited funds and still provide the best care possible. They don't have 1000's of dollars and this vet center has gone above and beyond to work with what funds they do have. The compassion everyone has shown has been great. I would definitely use this place for my own pets if the need was to arise and I would refer them to anyone who was in need of care for a pet.
0 Compassion. I understand it's a business, but to follow "Your chinchilla didn't make it" with "OK so what do you want to do next" is extremely cold. We may have bad luck with getting the one person with no soul that works there, but then again with out compassion in that field why would you hire them?
I took my rabbit here last year to have him fixed. The staff was very nice, the doctor was nice. I had to wait a bit, but since there are only certain vets that see rabbits, I totally understand. The cost was reasonable, and they did not ask for payment up front. They explained everything including the procedure, post-op care, and cost information... no surprises. The assistant who helped with my rabbit was very gentle, and nice too. My rabbit was happy and healthy when I picked him up, and he healed fine, no complications.
I upgraded the Center to 4 stars as I had a much better experience the last 2 times we had to go here. I think improvements have been made in the front desk area and personnel. I have only been here at night lately so not sure it translates to daytime but the night crew has been great including the Docs and the charges also the former attitude of not looking at my animal until they have some money is gone and I REALLY appreciated that!! They took them right back both times, very nice. Thanks for making changes and so I put 4 stars. I think Buzzy is the reason it got better so give him a raise!
I brought my little dog into the emergency hospital because he had a hole and rip next to his tail. He was diagnosed to have a ruptured anal gland. They flushed out the wound and expressed his other anal gland so this would not happen to his other one. When they brought my little guy back out to me he didnt have stitches and I was told that he did not need them that the wound would heal on itself with time. That visit cost me $390. The next day I was checking on his wound and he had torn it larger due to the spot of where it was and everytime my little guy would wag his tail it would pull the wound apart. I then took him to our normal vet who then told me he needed to remove the infected tissue and put a drain tube in and stitches applied. Which ran me another $309. The emergency vet is an INCOMPETENT VET HOSPITAL. I do not recommend this place to anyone if you want your animal taken care of properly.
