Dr. Wiekamp always handles my Savannah cat, Bubsy with complete confidence. I am very happy to have someone I can count on to look after my girl.

I had used Dr. Weikamp for two dogs for several years and was very happy with his services and timeliness until recently. He had seen and treated my aging dog and when it was time to put him to sleep, I left Dr Weikamp several messages and did not receive a call back or at the minimum, a message that he'd be unavailable. I had to transport him when he really shouldn't have been moved. I'm extremely disappointed in his professionalism when it mattered most. Would not recommend him.

Dr. W. was our golden's regular vet for 4 years. In year five our boy developed cancer. Dr. W. must've seen him 20 times during his illness. Every time he would say "Who do we have here?" and "What seems to be the problem?" I would explain that he was here for his follow up cancer check-in and treatment - that HE diagnosed and had been treating our boy for almost 6 months. The bills were catastrophic, but I suspect they would be anywhere. When it was finally time for our boy to pass, Dr. W. asked AGAIN what his name was just before he gave him the shot. We knew that it's was our dear friends time to go and believed that he received the right medicine from Dr. W. Looking back, his apathy for our boy and ignorance to check his own records is what stands out in our minds. Our boy's name was Andy by the way - RIP sweet valentine we miss you terribly.

We had this jerk come to our home to put our dear 11 year old Doberman down. He arrived on time was did say hello to Capne, my Dobie but that was it. Didn't take an extra second to even pet him. Didn't say two words to me except do you want to pay now or after. I was already affected by his stiffness and coldness. While he prepared the medicine we spent our last moments with our baby. He then walks in the door and sticks my dog with the needle causing my dog to yelp and leap forward. My dog slipped on the hardwood floors. We had to pull my dog back to the blanket. He was quite shaken. This jerk didn't even tell us to hold the dog, have him lay down, anything to keep him from leaping away. The most emotion was a cold "my condolences." I felt anger towrds him but didn't say anything to my girlfriend as I didn't want to upset her further. Turns out she was even more upset by Dr. Wiekamps coldness to use and our dog as well as the harsh way he administered the injection (he absolutely should have given us notice he was about to do it and advise us to hold our dog.) He made it hard for me but I am so angry with him because he affected my girlfriend significantly. She is a critical care ICU nurse. If anyone is used to these type of medical situations it is her. To have her this upset about the way he handled the whole procedure says alot. There are tons of other vets and plenty of mobile vets. Do yourself a favor pick someone else.

I thought the lump on my cat Ryokos neck was a tumor. I cried for two days before I called Dr. Weikamp. I was sure I would have to ask him to put her to sleep. I still cannot believe how patient he was with her, very gentle, professional and his diagnosis was perfect! He said the lump was probably caused by her scratching an area that had become irritated (she could be sensitive to the brand of flea medication I was using). He gave her an injection, told me to call him if the lump was not gone in a week and suggested I try a different flea medication. Three days later her "tumor" was gone! Thank you, thank you, thank you, from Ryoko and Linda
