This is my first experience at a veterinarian's office in a long while. I lost my two poodles in 1995 and 1998 and thought I did not want to have another dog. I was wrong. A baby Bichon was my choice. The front/back office staff at Coast is wonderful. I could not have felt more comfortable. I was so pleased to meet Dr. Truax…..love him….he is really what I call a "good old Doc"….old school is the best. He took time for me and my pup, Bear. I was so pleased with every aspect of our visit. What a beautiful office, great staff and a great doctor. Thank you to ALL for providing great care in my home town of Morro Bay.

Drs Truax and Stephens are amazingly wonderful, caring and deeply compassionate - as well as super knowledgeable. They helped us through a number of crises as well as deaths and we would not hesitate to trust our pets lives (and perhaps our own!) to these excellent practitioners. The whole experience is good, clean, professional but not uptight. They keep it real and keep you together while they're at it. We have found them sensitive to the realities of finances as well - Many thanks!!

These are the best vets. My dogs have all gone here and they have always given excellent service.

We have been going to Coast for nearly 2 years. My dog has allergies and the serum costs $200. We use about 1/3 of it before it expires and Coast administers the shots monthly. In 8/2011 the serum expired and we asked to continue using it and that we would accept the responsibility for it if it did not work. They agreed. In Jan 2012 they insisted on doing an exam for $48 and found the dog healthy. They collected the $48 and the 17 for the shot and sent us on our way. A couple of days later, they called and said that they couldnt administer the shot any longer because it expired. We confronted the issue of what happened in August to no avail. They forced us into a $48 exam ( which we could ill afford) and are now trying to force us to spend $200 that we dont have for a refill on something that is working fine, even though we agreed to sign an agreement holding them harmless for anything that could possibly go wrong. Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
