I have been taking all of my cats to see Dr. Ghumman for 15 years now and after moving several times and seeing a different vet who was closer to us I will drive a distance just to see Dr. Ghumman again. He is the most caring, nicest, and knowledgeable vet ever. I can really tell that he cares about our cats and loves animals. If your looking for a vet that actually cares for your pets health being Dr. Paul Ghumman is the guy.

While away from our then-home in Palo Alto, my dog managed to stress himself out so bad-- he became very ill and couldn't be "cured" with the normal "home remedies". In a moment's notice, my boyfriend was able to call their office and schedule an appointment for the same day. no problems involved. The vet I met with then reassured me that Snow would be fine and explained everything thoroughly and completely. And, let me know that if I had problems, to give them a call ASAP. What made me even HAPPIER was that they called first thing Monday morning to be sure he was okay and to check his status. I appreciated that SO much that now that I live here in South San Fran, I am MORE than willing to drive to Mountain View to see that my dog receives the same care and attention they gave him as an "emergency case." In my opinion, you will not be disappointed with the staff and doctors here.

Dr. Guhmann and his staff provide excellent animal care at reasonable (fair) prices. He recently diagnosed my cat for hypertension that other vets missed. He saved her eyesight. I like that he is level headed, uses common sense, and does not do unnecessary tests. He has a great rapor with my cats, they really like him!

Terrible. If you're a good pet parent, please go somewhere else. Dr. Ghumman was very rude, not only to my cat, but also to me. My cat needed to get his anal sacs cleaned, and I asked to be with him. Dr. hesitantly agreed and said it would have to wait, then. So, I waited, and I was there. Dr. walked into the room and went right under my cat's tail. No warning, no talking, no sweetness toward my cat, no respect for him either...did he even realize that he's alive?? I tried to comfort my cat during this very invasive procedure (and I understand that's just how it is), and out of nowhere, Dr. says to me "you wanted to see it, now deal with it!"...what?? I don't even know you sir, why are you disrespecting me, your client? No comforting words, no explanations, simply rude and dry yes/no answers to my 1 or 2 questions. Then, he tried to sell me three different types of antibiotics...what??!! why?? I demanded more scientific explanations, but I had to do so repeatedly, until he finally came to the front and explained the necessity for two of them (and confessed that the third one wasn't necessary). I highly DO NOT recommend Dr. Ghumman. He is not a kind vet, he obviously just does it for the $$. Please direct yourselves to the Alpine Animal Hospital which is just around the corner. They are MUCH more human and nice there. My regular vet is actually there, but she was booked today, so the receptionist recommended this one. I don't normally write reviews, but I had to take this time to let other caring pet parents know that this place is not worth your time or money.

They did lots of expensive and unnecessary tests, without asking permission first... and then would not explain the results afterwards. At best, high prices, poor quality, and poor service. Stay away!
