It took me over six years to find a general veterinary practice in the Pasadena area that was clean, compassionate, reasonably priced, and that had decent hours. As someone with two medically complicated cats, I cannot say enough about the cleanliness, gentleness, and professionalism of this practice. I recommend them without reservation!

We took our sick cat to animal medical hospital. We are the type of the people whose animals are family. I was first upset by how they tried to get our cat out of her carrier. The guy grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and pulled. When we got into the waiting room the doctor did a quick exam and then took our cat to the back for x-rays. 20 minutes later he emerged telling us he had taken x-rays, blood, given her medication and fluids. He did a quick explanation of her condition but did not tell us what to feed her until she gets better, when she should start acting better, instead he gave us some pills and sent us off. The pros: the care was cheap and I am sure that she was given the proper treatment for her condition. They were able to make an appointment without a wait. The cons: if you have a pampered pet and like to be walked through what is going to be done and the course of treatment you are not going to get that at Animal Medical Hospital.

I volunteer with a rescue group and I use Animal Medical Hospital all the time. I like this place. They have hours that work with my schedule, are affordable, i dont need an appointment and they have a friendly staff too. If you have any questions just ask they will answer them all.

Has taken great care of my cats. The vet is very kind and knowledgeable, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. Also affordable.
