First off, if you are looking for a cheap Vet, this is not the place. This Vet really is about service and quality of facilities and care. I have never waited over 15 minutes to be seen, and they have always taken good care of our animals (both Dogs and Cats). We have had a couple unique issues (bladder problems) and they were able to diagnose and treat the condition. So far (knock on wood) we have not had any issues since beginning the treatment. We had one emergency happen at midnight, called in and got an on-call vet, everything taken care of and saved a stray's life. They never once diminished the life of the cat simply because he was a stray. That cat is still alive and in a loving home, with great owners, who are giving them the proper care it needs. Kudos to the entire team, you earned my business.

Pricy, but worth every penny. By no means am I rich, but I don't weigh my dog's health with money. I have a 10 month old Yellow Lab, and they are so patient with me and her. She's a big crazy dog, and I am pretty nuts when it comes to her, but they really take their time, make sure all of my questions are answered. They don't try to oversell you on stuff you don't need, they just give you what is really best for your dog. When we got our lab fixed, they were so good... Giving us calls with updates, really good quoting an accurate time and price, making sure she was fine, etc. That night, I was so worried about her it was just crazy. She was much too high energy, and sure enough, she jumped too much and ripped it. They had a doctor on call really late at night who assured me things were fine, and when we brought her in the next day, they got her right in and had a vet look at it. They assured us again that she was fine, and sure enough, 6 months later she is a healthy, happy pup. We got a another puppy, and within 15 hours she came down with some scary sickness. When we took her in, they immediately knew what was going on. The receptionist took one look at her and took us into a room. A vet came in very shortly thereafter, and ten minutes after that she came in with the diagnosis. Parvo. She is the only surviving puppy of her litter so far. She is actually in there right now, hopefully she's going to pull through. They call two or three times a day with updates, and allow me to go in and see her. They are very helpful and nice, and so patient with me. I'm a very distressed owner and they always calm me down. I love Dana Park!!!!

I really don't understand where those that are leaving comments about how impersonal Dana Park are getting these ideas. Everyone is very sweet and genuinely cares about my dog, and they even remember him and ask how he is doing. Dr. Cassens is the best doctor for my dog that I could have ever asked for. However, their service is pricey, but is completely worth the passionate animal lovers who work for this facility.

We just moved to Redding. We have 4 animals and have spared no expense keeping them healthy and happy. We chose Dana Veterinary Clinic based on the recommendation of one of our clients. As I said we do not mind paying top dollar for top notch care but at Dana Veterinary Clinic you will pay top dollar for terrible care and no customer service. We have given them 4 chances now and 3 out of the 4 have been extremely lacking. The one great experience was with a vet who has now left. Each appointment we arrive 10 minutes early as they request and still we have had to wait over 40 minutes to be seen. None of the vets that we have seen seem to connect with animals at all viewing them more as a production line of things rather than living breathing beings. When I asked why we have to keep waiting so long the response was "we have emergencies such as snake bites. should we let those animals die?" If they have emergencies this frequently then they should plan and staff for it. They offered to take $5 off of a $600 bill for my time. I was there to pick up my animal from surgery at the time they told me to be there and when I explained that I had to get back to work the response was "well do you have time for me to explain how to administer the medication properly or are you in too big of hurry?". I was just speechless. I will say that as I have spent countless hours in their waiting room I have noticed that if you have been a long time client of theirs you are treated much better and receive better, faster service. As I waited I watched 4 clients (clearly established ones) be seen before us. So if you are a current client and receive good service I am happy for you but if you are shoping around for a new vet, do not go to Dana Veterinary Clinic if you expect you and your pet to be treated with kindness and respect.

Lovely building, modern decor, current computer outreach.....15,000 patients.....high prices.....focus toward selling....won't help your pet in an emergency if not already an existing patient......Wow.....NOT at all what I expected after leaving the big city for a more "personalized" approach to life. Nonetheless, everyone seemed competent, mostly interested, albeit very "busy" maintaining the "assembly line" business. If you have the money, and don't care too much about the personal approach, it won't disappoint. If you're looking to establish a relationship with a care provider who'll remember you and your pet, this is not the place.
