Great staff, they are reasonably priced, and they don't "over" test like some vets I have gone to.

We've been taking our puppy here since he was 4 months old (after leaving another vet for incompetent care). At first, the care provided was fine, but then again, it was just standard procedure stuff (puppy vaccines and neutering). The staff seemed friendly and concerned with the well-being of our dog. Within the past few months, however, our dog developed a skin irritation of some sort and after numerous trips to see Dr. Todd, she still couldn't tell us what it was and didn't seem concerned to find out, even though it was getting worse. The final straw was now our dog has a cut that's infected on his toe and after calling to see if I could get an appointment, I was told to just come in, no appointment necessary and we'd "take it from there." Once there, they took him back (for what I assumed would have been for a nail trim and examination) and a few minutes later, they brought him up to the front, told us he didn't need his nails trimmed but charged us $20 for the trim regardless. When I asked about his infected toe, the tech shrugged and said she didn't notice anything (it's quite obvious, especially if someone tells you that it's there). She then said, "Oh yeah, I guess that could be infected. You'll need to make an appointment with the doctor." It's not easy getting my dog to the vet in the middle of the day, and to have to come back for what should have been taken care of right then and there is outrageous to me. I would look elsewhere for pet care if your animal needs anything beyond vaccines or food because these people simply do not care!

It's hard to find a vet that isn't in business just to make the most they can from your pet. Well, there is one -- Pacific Vet in Northpark. They care about the animals and charge reasonable amounts for their services. They have always done a great job and I have been very happy with there service over the past several years. I have heard horror stories from friends about the money they have spent with those franchise corporate vet clinics...it's just a shame people take advantage like that. If you want outstanding service, great care, at a reasonable price -- this is the place to go!!!

I adopted my cat from the SPCA and was recommended to this vet. We scheduled the appointment first thing in the morning, but we still had to sit in the waiting room for an extra 30 minutes past our scheduled time. The doctor was nice, but he rushed us in and out; we had no time to ask him questions about our newly adopted cat. Our cat broke out into an allergy several weeks later, so I called Pacific Vet and told the doctor my suspicions about her allergy based on the research I did online, and he dismissed everything I told him. Both times I have interacted with this doctor, I felt that he wasn't listening to me and didn't have time for me. Both times I reached reception, the person I spoke to kept referring to my pet as a dog, even though I specified numerous times that my pet was a cat. I have no intention in taking my cat to this vet again.

Dr. Nagell and his entire staff are totally competent and caring. We have five kitties and have been going to Pacific for many years. We have always been treated so kindly. Dr. Nagell is very generous with his time and is so compassionate. My husband and I are very grateful to know these wonderful people and to have them available seven days a week!
