I'm surprised no one else has encountered this issue with this veterinarian hospital. I just recently got a new husky, and I was looking for a good, respectable veterinary hospital in the area. First off, I should've known from the beginning there was some level of inconsistency. When I first called the hospital, someone gave me a quote for a puppy package that was NOT the price when I arrived at the hospital. I let that slide because my puppy was going to turn 10 weeks and I wanted to get her shots sooner rather than later. As the weeks go by, I'm having to constantly remind the staff why I'm even coming in the first place. I don't know why that is my job to remind them that my dog is supposed to be getting his dhpp shot and bordetella when it says on the puppy package what they should be getting. My last visit (or so I thought) I was going to receive my rabies vaccine at 15 weeks. For those of you who have worked in the industry, or have had dogs in the past, you know that is not true. They should be getting their rabies vaccine at 16 weeks. When I asked the receptionist about this before making the appointment, she says "well she's going to be 16 weeks a few days later, we can make it work." I go into that visit (keep in mind I have to remind them that I'm supposed to be seeing the doctor for this visit, not just the technician) and the doctor (who is very nice and knowledgeable) tells me they can't administer the vaccine. AH HA! I KNEW IT. At this point, I'm ready to switch vets, when I couldn't make the appointment I was scheduled for, they told me nothing was available until 1 week later. WOW. I'm not new to this, honestly the rabies shot could take 10 min tops, and I"m not even going in to see the doctor. If you're supposedly open 8-8 (OR SO IT SAYS ON THE WEBSITE) why can't you schedule a time to get me in sooner? Talking to the receptionists is like talking to wall. They have no kind of understanding of the field, nothing. When I ask them questions, they're constantly having to ask someone else. Whenever I call them, the phone is never answered it directs me to a emergency hospital and phone messages aren't returned. The voice mail also doesn't provide information regarding their hours. I'm looking at the website because that's what should be correct right? WRONG. The sign on the door has completely different hours than the website. Take home message: This veterinary hospital is inconsistent and is not available to you when you need them to be. Dr. Liao is very nice, however that doesn't make up for the incompetency of the "rocks" behind the reception desk - they are not knowledgeable or helpful. Will not be coming here again, except to retrieve ALL my vaccine information (the receptionist didn't add the Bordetella to the list of vaccines my dog received which made it very difficult when I was traveling today.)
