I would recommend Alum Rock Animal Hospital to anybody. They were absolutely fantastic, as a first time pet owner they were very patient with me and answered all my questions. They made me feel very welcome and good about visiting them. I am caring for a pitbull that is just 6 weeks old. Not sure if I will keep the puppy but they helped me ensure his future owners would have a healthy puppy.

No other vet has such a low baseline visit price. So I don't understand how any reviewers think they only care about the money. Our cat Smoke Monster has an upper respiratory infection and no other place was open on Sunday. Well maybe 1 other one but the visit cost was double at that place. Our first time at Alum Rock and they were fast, nice, to the point. Doctor communicated what he found in his examination pretty well. The cost of the shot and meds was very typical, so the low visit cost really makes the difference. Hopefully I don't have to visit the vet again soon, but if I do I'll be calling this place again. The staff and doctor were very friendly and helpful. They saved our lives...at least my kitty's life!! We lost our home and have struggled financially ever since. The vet my cat went to on Story Road wouldn't give him his medication until some test results came back which would have left him without anti-seizure medication for two weeks. They had also nearly doubled their price for a blood test from $150 to $250!! They basically were blackmailing us and still putting our cat's life in mortal jeopardy. We were told by a friend about Alum Rock Animal Hospital and at the last minute (we were out of medication and he will die without it), they took us and took care of my kitty, Also, their blood test only costs $130. I highly recommend this place.

it's ok they are convenient available just about anytime you ask, but yes, their interest is in the dollar more than our pets, I'm a little disappointed too!! Please do your diligence prior to making your appointment. This was my mistake. Dr. was very friendly. I recently visited others as I traveled over the Holidays and found that many offered Puppy bundles that include all follow up care at a reasonable rate and one even went into great detail about the insurance that is also an option for our pets.

I brought my dog into Alum Rock Animal Hospital and was very pleased with the experience. They were very helpful and were accommodating to my financial limitations. They prescribed my dog some medications to take home, and called soon after to see how my dog was responding to treatment. Over all the service was great and I would highly recommend this hospital.
