Recently we had to put our 15 year old dog to sleep. He was the joy of all my family members lives. Everyone at West Valley was great. Kind and compassionate and gave me all the time I needed to say good bye. Pepper was a loyal friend. A companion in every sense of the word. He was loved by all and we will miss him always. Thank You!

I have been to a lot of vets in my day (about 100+ for business reasons) and I give all the kudos, high-5's, thank yous, your the best, #1, 5 star all day to Dr. Nesset and her team at West Valley in San Jose, CA. They have simple and efficient systems in place, they hire a staff of individuals that are knowledgeable, friendly, amazing, patient, caring and they give our furry best friends immediate and deserving attention for every visit we have ever made. Dr. Nesset even called me back in the middle of the night (3:30am) when I thought I had an emergency situation with a pets recovery post surgery. I've even caught them working through their lunch hours. Simply put, they get the job done. Thank you West Valley team for all you do, have done, will continue to strive for success and reach for the stars because you are the IT team that we all need to keep our pets safe, happy and healthy.

I took my cat to see Dr. Govers in 2004. Initially, he provided an excellent diagnosis and treatment of a yeast infection in my cats ears. Later that year, he diagnosed my 18 year old cat with a perinephric pseusodocyst (fluid around his kidney). He proposed surgery, which I initially decided against, due to my cats age. However, Dr. Govers said surgery was a good option which could extend my cats life so I did it. My cat was sent home without any medication to control his pain. I returned to the clinic twice to request medication. The first time, Dr. Govers said pain medication wasn't recommended because it would make him too drowsy, I relented, only to return again as my cat remained in significant pain and was unable to walk or leave his crate. I spoke with a different vet during my second visit to the surgery who did not feel a major surgery on such an old cat should have been recommended and gave my cat pain medication. Later that night I took my cat to the emergency clinic, where he was diagnosed as severely depressed with a galloping heart and possible renal failure. They recommended immediate euthanasia to end his suffering. Dr. Govers did not provide sufficient care for my cat.

Dr Grover and Dr Brons have taken wonderful care of my 2 birds. Its difficult finding experienced avian vets and they're the best. One of my birds had a very nasty infection and I thought she wouldn't make it. Dr Grover took care of her and she pulled thru.

Every time we go to this place we are dealing with a different vet! Oh, sorry Dr. Krick is no longer with us...oh sorry Dr. Williams is no longer with us....etc. Seems like no vet stays long enough to get to know your pet. The Vet we had to deal with this time was as passionate as a stuffed animal. No such thing as an comprehensive exam and I even had to put my dog on the scale myself but of course we got charged for it. Best thing was over $90 for 10 Tablets of Baytril ( what I can get a lot cheaper through NationalPet Pharmacy) and they had the guts to charge over $42 to put a bandage on my dog....??? Well, we really just went there because it is about 5 minutes to drive and we wanted our pet to be taken care of or let's say get at least some meds.....Pls. take the extra time to drive to another place where the docs are truely passionate about their job and about their patients.
