In our opinion, one way to judge the performance of a veterinary care facility is to watch for the reaction of the pets as you drive in to their office, and especially as they meet the staff and doctors. Our toy poodle, 2 years old, following a comprehensive exam, including x-rays, a shot to reduce pain, etc., just leaned up to the veterinary doctor and kissed him! Need to say more?

Being new to the area I used a combination of internet and neighbor referrals for finding a Vet. I am thoroughly pleased with the entire staff for the diagnosis and prescribed treatments given for Miss E. Chows are notorious for allergy and skin problems, Miss E is no exception. Following the prescribed regimen has returned her to a healthy, scratch-free and healthy condition. I would highly recommend the San Juan Animal Hospital for any/all your pet needs.

When we moved to San Juan last year, I was having angst about where to take my 2 cats for care. One of them gets quite carsick, so in the absence of any other advice about vets in the area I picked San Juan Animal Hospital since we live nearby. I have been very pleased with our interactions with Dr. Bondurant and his staff -- he is very down to earth and easy to talk to, and my kitties tolerate him poking them as well as they tolerate that behavior from anyone, so I guess they aren't complaining either. My only complaint is that the entry area is quite small, so keeping the kitties away from any inquisitive dogs who come in can be a bit of a dance. Other than that, two thumbs and eight paws up!

When Dr. Mannix passed away suddenly, it was devastating for those of us who for years had relied on his knowledge and compassion. It was hard to imagine a new veterinarian filling those big shoes. Enter Dr. Bondurant! What a happy surprise. He has exceeded my expectations in every way. My diabetic cat, Blackie, makes regular visits to see Dr. Bondurant and I have found the new doc to be as skilled, attentive, and compassionate as Dr. Mannix was.

As were so many patients of Dr.Mannix, his passing was a terrible shock and loss. Since his passing, I have continued to work with the staff at San Juan Animal Hospital and have had excellent service. I feel very comfortable with the new vet and especially Sue who has been so helpful over the years. I highly recommend San Juan Animal Hospital.
