I've brought my animals to South Shores for the past 13 years and have found all of the employees and both vets to be caring and considerate. I did leave for nearly a year to visit a vet closer to my home, but returned to South Shores because of the treatment and knowledge. I can't imagine what happened with the others, but it is certainly not typical behavior in this office. I gave 5 stars - but this practice deserves 10!

Service is always excellent. Doctors and staff are always friendly and comforting.

This vet is close to our house and they are "full service" - so they do boarding and grooming, etc so we tried them out with our cats annual exam. The front office is the normal - they ignore you, it takes forever. It was very chaotic and we waited almost 30 minutes in the front room. Dr W (I can't remember his whole name) came in within minutes, very friendly, knowledgeable. I really liked him. He took his time and answered question, didn't feel rushed (maybe thats why we were in the waiting room for half hour?) The cost is expensive - it was $190 per cat: vaccinations (4 total) - $80 flea control shot (good for 6 months) - $60 doctor fee - $50 I have no experience and this may be the norm for California, but compared to Colorado and Montana, it was twice as much as I expected. The vet was great, but I can't really say I recommend it based on the front desk and the cost.

I always bring all of my pets to South Shores. They do such a wonderful job, and they are great with animals. Their offices are very nice and clean, and I completely trust all of the vets and staff. They really know what they're doing.
