Horrible experience trying to get an MRI for my 5 year old GSD that can't walk. They forced us to have 2 visits, with different specialists all coming to the same conclusion. All we wanted was an MRI of his spine. Also tried to send an xray to them from a previous vet, they couldn't figure out how to obtain the images and never reviewed them. On the third visit for the MRI, we were scheduled for a morning procedure, my dog sat the entire day until someone calls me and says they can't get to him. I immediately picked him up. Most unprofessional, incompetent experience with a vet I have every had. Go somewhere else at all costs.
I will give anyone 5 stars who is willing to answer any concerns of a pet owner over the phone. The tech relieved my concerns late at night, so I could sleep soundly. Thanks!
I was there a week ago with a friend who's dog had been hit by a car. While the vets themselves were straight-forward and honest, the receptionist left a lot to be desired. The vets very clearly laid out the odds of recovery, potential diagnostics and the type of information each would provide, as well as an estimate for a variety of treatment combinations. However, the receptionist was a different story. From the beginning she was hard selling the most expensive options, while also promoting the CARE card to help finance the $8,000+ bill. My friend made the initial deposit ($650) to pay for the basic care (fluids & pain medications) while she took some time to consider the treatment versus euthanasia question. At one point during the decision making process the dog started crying in the back. The receptionist came up and said that my friend had to immediately sign an estimate for $3600 or they could not treat her pet. As my friend hesitated for a moment at the cost, the receptionist started yelling at her that her puppy was screaming in pain and they could not do anything for it until the paper was signed. I have been to numerous clinics, and never have I dealt with someone with such a lack of compassion and customer service. It is a shame since the doctors themselves were great, but I would never recommend this clinic as long as that receptionist is the public face of their clinic.
