Needed to have dog seen today because of blood in urine. Called and asked if they had time. Was told no problem, bring her in. When I showed up was told that there would be an extra $33 "convenience fee" above and beyond normal office visit because I had no prior appointment. Waiting room was empty so it wasn't like they were jammed or anything. . They wanted to call it an "emergency visit" when in actuality it wasn't. What a rip-off.

We've been taking our Miniature Schnauzer here for years now and we couldn't be happier. We used to take our dog to another local vet and thought the service was good until we tried Valley Vet. The staff is great and is always friendly and willing to answer all of my questions. Our Schnauzer can be nippy with strangers but surprisingly he was really good with the staff here. Dr. Prader really knows her stuff and was great with our dog. I would definitely recommend this vet clinic!

Last week was a very tough week for my family, especially my two young girls (3 and 6). Our family dog, a 9 year old chocolate lab, had to have a surgery to remove a questionable mass. As you could imagine this was a tough situation to deal with for both my wife and I, but even more so for my daughters. No situation like this is a positive one, but the help and care we received for our dog (and our family) was AMAZING! Dr. Prater and the entire staff took extra care to make sure we all felt extremely comfortable with putting our precious and loved dog in their hands. From the service and warm feelings we received from the front desk staff upon check in, all the way to the follow up with Dr. Prater herself, this was as good an experience as we could ever have asked for. Dr. Prater was thorough and address all of our questions and concerns as we determined which course of action we would be taking. Not to mention her skills in the operating room are second to none. When your loved ones (and make no mistake about it our dog is a major part of our family) are sick it is a difficult time, especially for young children. We were able however with the family atmosphere of Valley Veterinary Clinic, to make this a positive experience for our entire family. Thank you to Dr. Prater and the entire staff at Valley Veterinary Clinic for helping me and my family get through this ordeal. (And for the record, my dog is doing MUCH better already!) I HIGHLY recommend Valley Veterinary Clinic for all of your pet needs.

I used to think that the small town animal doctor with the John-Wayne-esque mystique charm and classic bedside manner was gone. That was until I brought my Manx cat, Ming to Valley Veterinary Clinic. Since then, we've been coming to Valley Veterinary Clinic, entrusting our "Ming" to the care of Dr. Novy and his staff. Despite Ming's somewhat less-than-always-friendly personality, the VVC staff always found a way to break through the "tiger claw" defense and give her the care she needed. Thanks to top-notch care, MIng - who was a stray who actually adopted us (as in showed up on our doorstep one day), enjoyed a very long, spoiled and happy life until age and illness caught up with her. And it was at that darkest hour of our loss, that the VVC staff stepped up, comforting us, making us feel that just a little bit better. Fast foward several years and it was the "small town care and love" feeling that made it a no-brainer for us to select Valley Veterinary Clinic as the "source" for our next feline companion: Felix (yes, Felix the cat!). Felix was put up for adoption at VVC by a family that could no longer care for him. In recent months, Felix developed diabetes and Dr. Lori Prater, one of the associates at VVC has been his doctor and we are very happy with the level of care Felix has received. We honestly can think of no better place to care for our "Little Piggy"!

My mother took her dogs for years, I brought my dogs several times. Been happy with senior, however now that his daughter has taken over very disappointed. Rude, not as careing. Really bad experience. Brought my very sick dog in. (Poisoned by neighbor). They made me Waite in lobby for over a hour and said that since I didn't have an appointment I had to wait (really for a emergency). Then when they saw her, I was told why did I weight so long to bring her in. hooked her up to iv and said we will watch her over night. Ok, when we came back to check on her as soon as they opened. Told oh she must have died through the night not sure when no one was there. In other words she died alone!!!! Charged for overnight care.... horribly wrong.
