Called ahead to see if we could bring our dog down. She is a 7 pound mix that ate a bunch of chocolate. We live in Fallbrook and everyone closed at 5 and Banfield was open till 7. When I called at 6 to make sure I should come in and told them I would be there in 20 mins, 40 mins before they closed they said they would charge me an extra "emergency fee" because they felt it was to close to closing time for me to come in. WHAT A BUNCH OF JERKS!!!! Obviously they want money and don't care about your pet.

The insurance is a SCAM. The whole point of insurance is that you pay a regular fee so that when something terrible happens you don't have to pay a large sum. However here at banfield, you pay a regular fee, then pay a bit more when something terrible happens, and then continue to pay because you can't get out of the insurance early, even though they tried to kill your pet. Don't worry, we took our pet to the California Veterinary Specialists where they were able to give the right care. So after this terrible service, which cost me $800 for not-covered services, I still have to pay a monthly fee until I "pay them back" for the services that were covered. Even though I've been paying these monthly fees for year. Fail.

We took our 12 month old puppy to this vet inside of Petsmart just 2 days ago for his second sequence of vaccines. The whole time, they were pushing their health payment plan which you pay monthly. The worst part is, today our puppy is sick, vomiting continuously and are now going to have to take him to another vet to see if he has parvo. The only time we took our puppy out was 2 days ago to take him to Banfield and most likely picked up this disease while there!!!! This is so frustrating, I would not recommend this place!!!!

Made a call to see about the cost of an international health certificate. Was told initially I would be given the price when i was in the exam room and when insisted on being given a price the young lady turned snippy and rude. No customer service skills. the whole point of calling was to get the price.
