horrible customer service. Dr. Berend is a transactionally based business owner. In this industry I will only work with RELATIONSHIP BASED owners! Vet doctors should be passionate about helping sick animals, not about making money and running away from problems. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! please help me find a good doctor someone :(

I know the review below mine is not even close to accurate, I had 2 dogs from the day they were born and got all there shots and procedures in other vets when I lived in other locations. When I moved to West Hills I googled vets in the area and found them. They were extremely pleasant people to deal with. Then one of my dogs got pregnant and I took the entire litter of 4 puppies to them and they took care of all the shots and everything needed for the puppies and it was not even close to what I paid for my other dogs. The doctors and nurses (or whatever you call vet nurses?) were very caring and very kind to me and my dogs. I have and will continue to recommend and obviously come back :)

Beloved pet owners beware. Our beloved dog Rudy, a wheaton terrier was diagnosed with stomach cancer. We were given the option of surgery with a "95% chance of success", the Dr felt great about it. Without the surgery Rudy was looking at two weeks, that the cancerous ulcer would erupt at any given moment, causing excruciating pain. The surgery would give him 6months, maybe a year or more. We were obviously shocked and devastated. We wanted what was best for our dog, we didn't want to prolong his life for us, we were encouraged to do the the most living thing, we did the surgery. He was in a lot of pain, spent 5 days in the hospital, when we picked him up, we were told everything went great. His follow up appointment 2 days later ... He looks great ... 1 day later we rushed him to the emergency room, he was dying, we were a wreck, after 2 hours they came out to inform us he wouldn't make it, they weren't sure what happened, however we would have to put him down, as all his organs were shutting down, the Dr who encouraged us, who did the surgery, she never called, the Dr who had encouraged us to the surgery called and apologized, however the surgery was very risky...really??? why before the surgery a 95% success rate???? We were charged over $6000.000. With us the money was never an option, it was our family pet, I can't say the same for West Valley Clinic. The names do not need to be mentioned. The clinic and the surgeon should be ashamed of their selves. They now have a now have a lovely new statue in front of the Clinic. I feel the money spent, would have been better used to teach the staff and their Dr.'s how to be more respectful of their clients.

I had gone to this vet for years, but never will again. I find they play every trick to bankroll themselves while providing absolutely horrific medical service. Their incompetence cost my dog unimaginable suffering after a routine neuter. The ER doctor was shocked at his condition. They play games with the billing, and try to say they've discounted their services- and it's STILL way overpriced. I'm ashamed to have recommended them in the past- because my friends have had the same despicable treatment. STAY AWAY!!!

One visit was enough. The receptionist was not efficient or friendly. Instead of talking with me she just shouted random questions to me out into the lobby. I was there for simple vaccines which took 1-1/2 hours to administer and it was not even busy. Then the vet technician tried to sell me a year supply of medication of heartguard and frontline. She also wanted to schedule more visits for one of my animals to collect over $500 from a simple vaccination visit. While my pet was in need of additional non-emergency attention, it appeared she was just pushing pills and trying to drum up business and really did not consider my financial limitations or alternative options to her high dollar plan. There is a reason why this clinic is so cheap, they must have cut costs on hiring qualified employees.
