DO NOT GO TO THE VET CLINIC!!! I have a dog and HAD a rabbit but they killed it. I went in to get my rabbit spayed and the person doing the surgery did not know what she was doing. They gave her too much anesthesia and her heart stopped. Then they call me and tell me oh your rabbit died, you can come get her stuff. Please do not take your small pets to this clinic because they will kill them with their lack of experience. I googled so many places to check to make sure this was a safe procedure and everywhere I looked it said it was as long as the vet was knowledgeable on the procedure. Now my little girl is going to be heartbroken.

I take my cats to the vet clinic at HSBV and have always been happy with the care and service they offer. The vets were accurate in their diagnoses, and gave me great advice about switching cat foods. My cats have thrived and are healthier after following their advice. The fees are very reasonable. I also frequent the thrift store and am amazed at the high quality of the items they sell. Frequently they receive brand new items, but they still sell them at half of regular retail prices. It makes me feel good that whatever money I spend at the vet clinic or thrift store goes towards helping homeless animals.

The best animal shelter we have visited in the Boulder/Denver area!!! They really take care of their animals in the best possible way. We recently adopted a dog there. They had a lot of choice. We didn't have to wait too long to have a chance to meet a dog in a separate space. The trainers taking care of them are really nice and helpful. Every time we went back there with our dog to find a second dog, he was very excited so you can guess that they took good care of him. Other positive points: they give you a free visit to a vet (they give you a long list of vets to pick from), also they give a very good kind of leash, they vaccinate the dogs for rabbies, they offer a free bag of dog food and we only paid $99 for the adoption. We had such a great experience with them and with the dog we adopted there that we are currently looking to adopt another dog from them. Highly recommended place!!!

This place is amazing! I adopted my dream dog today and had plenty to choose from. The staff is a little young but they do care and seem to enjoy their jobs. The facility was clean and all of the animals were healthy. I've adopted before and these guys couldn't have made it any easier. It was a hassle free, enjoyable experience. Just walk in the door and these guys will help your next pet find you

I have adopted a dog and a cat from here and have had nothing but wonderful experiences! The adoption center staff was friendly and patient with me while I tried to match my resident dog with a new playmate. Both of my dogs have been through multiple training courses and we've loved every single one! Our favorite is agility with Helena. My two dogs and cat have all been to the veterinary clinic and have had great experiences! One of my dogs was struggling with a strained back muscle and Dr. Bolser offered acupuncture to help relieve his pain in addition to traditional therapies - he was back chasing tennis balls in no time! My cat does not enjoy veterinary visits (what kitty does?) and the staff are very sensitive to that and perform her examination quickly yet thoroughly and safely - I appreciate that they remember this about her and try to make our visit as pleasant as it can be. Not only have I benefited from their services, but I appreciate the work they do to rehabilitate animals struggling with behavior issues like separation anxiety. A friend adopted a dog who had been in their behavior program and received excellent follow up support from the trainers - they're both very happy now! The negative reviews puzzle me as I've always had very positive experiences here as have my friends and family who have also used their services.
