Let me tell you a story... My dog we'll call her Chaya Bear... because that is her name, found herself in a dire situation and Dr. Denisa Court, DVM saved my Bear. Here's what happened. Late on a Saturday evening in a Silverthorne Condo overlooking I-70 Chaya got into a little scuffle over some kibble and subsequently had a large laceration on her forearm. The cut was deep and muscle and tissue could clearly be seen underneath. Something had to be done. After calling around we found that Farmer's Korner was the nearest emergency vet. So, we got in the car with my injured pup and headed that way. We arrived around 9 PM and Dr. Denisa was there waiting for us. She calmly explained all of my options and in the end allowed me to hold Chaya while she did the surgery. I know this was unorthodox, but given the expense of bringing in an additional technician this was my best and cheapest option. She stitched up my Bear and after the anesthesia began to wear off we were on our way. In this situation many would charge whatever they could, but this was not the case at Farmer's Korner. All in all the price was more than fair and the vet was absolutely awesome. Thanks for everything doc.

I had an extremely bad experience with my cat, Mr. Vegas at one vet and I attribute it a good bit to the vet and how they handled him, even though Mr. Vegas can be difficult at times (mostly extremely vocal). I heard about another vet from a co-worker and made an appt thinking, "oh boy, this poor vet has to deal with my cat." To my surprise everything went smoothly and with very little stress on the cat. They kept to their theory of "less handling is more" and were able to get the exam completed without struggling to keep the cat still (he only growled a few times - no hissing, clawing, etc). I highly recommend this vet to others!

What a wonderful experience we had with our dog on what we had expected to be a very sad day. We thought we might have to put our faithful 13 year old lab to sleep. I had called several other Summit vets and despite our emergency circumstances was given no real consideration for a timely appointment and no empathy was shown. Dannie answered the phone at FKVH when I called and was so kind. At the appointment our dog was treated with gentleness, kindness and knowledge. Dr. Denisa Court introduced herself to us and did a thorough exam of our dog, carefully listened to our recount of all his symptoms and helped us to make an informed decision about what was best for him. We were sent home with written instructions about all meds and foods he was to take and when (fortunate since we were quite distracted by the traumas of the preceding night and day at that point). Our dog has made a wonderful recovery since yesterday, and although we know it is only temporary (he has cancer)....he is feeling good again so that now we have a little more quality time with him. The prices charged were extremely fair for the excellent services rendered with a superior attitude by all the staff we encountered. THANK YOU EVERYONE at FKVH! We will be back with our other pets in the future.

Farmer's Korner was absolutely fantastic to my Great Pyrenees. I was in the mountains for the weekend and needed ER Vet service and they were amazing from the first phone call all the way to several days later when they called to check in on my dog. I am going to try to switch my primary care vet to Farmer's Korner even though it is an hour+ from home. After owning pets for 20 years, I can honestly say that I have never been so impressed with a vet and their entire staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Couldn't get ahold of a vet near me at 2 in the morning. Got a call back in 1 minute by the vet and she talked me through everything and was extremely helpful for my dogs sickness.
