To be avoided. We took our beloved 11-year old cat here because he had diarrhea. Their recommended exams —some of which seemed entirely gratuitous— totaled $600+ We wound up asking for a less comprehensive set of exams (adequate for what was ailing him and skipping the "let's test for this too" category) and were promptly billed for $400+ OK, fine, we want our kitty healthy. "Bring him back tomorrow for urine and feces samples" we did. They found a urinary infection and 2 types of parasites. "He'll have to take an antibiotic + 2 anti-parasitics" fine. "If you want we can give him an injected antibiotic and you'll just have to give him the antiparasitics" Sounded good; anyone who's tried to fed medicines to a cat knows it's no fun. We picked him up an were charged an additional $130 We get home and decide to ask WHICH antibiotic they had administered. It turned out to be "convenia" which —we later found out— is primarily used for skin infections (??) and has proven fatal for many pets. Needless to say we were given zero warning of potential danger from this injection. Our cat is clearly feeling/acting sicker then when we took him in. We are hoping and praying he will pull through.

LFAH cared for our dog for the last five years. All of the vets and staff showed tremendous knowledge and compassion. Due to moves over the nearly 18 years of our dog's life, we have been to a number of vets--LFAH is the best. Highly recommended.
