Found Doc Joe and his staff by a stroke of luck when I moved to high country last year. Finding a good Vet is more challenging than finding a good hair stylist. Since I was a Vet Tech years ago I'm even more picky about who my furry friends see. Doc Joe is amazing, compassionate, friendly and something even more rare - he takes the time to talk with you in detail about what is going on with your pet's health. Additionally, he provides his cell phone number and takes and RETURNS after hour calls. Since both my dogs have health issues, I feel really lucky to have such a great Vet within 20 minutes of my home.

Seriously the best vet I have ever been too. I always leave with a smile, and hug (and a VERY reasonable bill). As soon as you walk in, Doc Joe and his staff greet you like your an old friend. Joe is an honest, gentle, kind, and reasonable person - a veterinarian who is truly in it for the animals, their people and their community. Nederland Veterinary Hospital gets my highest marks. (Also, I work at a humane society and receive significantly discounted vet care through them, but I choose to see NVH anyways!).

I love them, my dog loves them, and they love us. Best vet experience I have ever had! Doc Joe and his colleagues are wonderful!

Dr. Joe makes everyone feel at home. He goes beyond his job duties and lets his love for animals guide him, not hours or money. He and his wife are genuinely concerned and caring.
