Before I adopted my dog, he was hit by two cars because the (previous) owner was careless. The police brought my pup to CPH who then contacted the owner. The (previous) owner came in, cussed out the CPH staff for not treating the dog for free, and then told them to put his dog down. The doctor on duty saw that this dog had a great personality even though he was owned by a scumbag who neglected his dog (this dog was 25% UNDERWEIGHT). The hospital staff fixed up this pup ON THEIR OWN DIME to save this dog from a brutal owner. I was fortunate enough to adopt this pup and I have CPH to thank for him! I only trust CPH to care for my furry family member. Working in the medical field, I understand that not every animal can be saved, and that it costs a lot of money to care for animals in the emergency room. But the care the hospital staff gave my pup is unmatched. Thanks CPH!

Way overpriced! More than twice as much as other vets.

Most expensive vet practice in the area, and not worth the price. Have had several bad experiences, including significant misdiagnoses, unneeded costly tests, and constant haranguing about buying high-priced products and services. We'd had prescriptions and phone messages "lost" and never a concession on their part. Lots of staff turnover. They used to provide quality service and family-style care, but that's long gone. Go somewhere else!

I brought my dog here when he was attacked by a much larger dog and needed surgery. I didn't have an appointment since it was an emergency but the girls at the front were fantastic and couldn't have been more friendly. Max had never been attacked or needed surgery before but they were very calm and assured me he was in good hands. During his examination Max was hiding under the bench because he was scared but they were very sweet to him and lured him out with treats and gave him plenty of love and attention. The vet did an outstanding job and they were very good about explaining everything from the examination to medication and follow-up care. When I returned to have Max's stitches and draining tube removed he was almost happy to be back. They genuinely care about the animals they treat here and I highly recommend them.

I recently took my dog to their Riverdale location to be neutered. He seemed to be fine when we took him home, but the next day he had an allergic reaction to the pain medication they had prescribed. His eyes were red and swollen, and his ears were bright red and hot. I instantly recognized that it was the medication and asked my boyfriend to take him back to the community pet hospital due to the fact that I had work. Instead of just prescribing a medication that he would take to better they accused my boyfriend of abuse and then did several blood tests, one of which looking for rat poison. I am no doctor, but they charged me for 165 dollars worth of testes, after the 260 dollars I had given them for the previous days help, to tell me what I already knew and then prescribed him a different pain medication. Any non-money hungry individual with some common sense would have added up the fact that he had just had surgery at your location and was on pain medication that you prescribed and then decided it was an allergic reaction. I will never go back there again. They wrongly offended my boyfriend and in my opinion purposely did the tests to gain more money from me. If there was any other thing they could have charged me for they would have. Thanks community pet hospital for your great doctoring. Any one of my friends that did not go to school to help animals could have told me that for free.
