Dr. Goldman and staff are consummate professionals who deliver state of the art veterinary care to their patients. He has taken care of all of my animals for years - including our beloved retriever who had cancer - and he has never failed us. His standards are very high and his expectations of owners are high as well. If you are a conscientious pet owner and want the very best for your animals, then there is no better place than Canton AH and Dr. Goldman. If you treat your animals like inanimate objects and want the cheapest treatment around, look elsewhere. I can't believe the other reviewers here - there is clearly a backstory that they are deliberately not detailing. And the airplane complaint? Right - as if Dr. Goldman is going to put his own beloved pet at risk. Bottom line: the best diagnostician, the best surgeon, and the best pharmacy are right there on Rt 44 in Canton.

I am absolutely flabbergasted at the negative reviews of this business. I couldn't have had a more opposite experience. I found the Vet and ALL the staff as accommodating as possible...and I mean that literally. The staff could not have been more caring, could not have been more attentive, and could not have cared more. Staff sat with us on the floor to make our kitten comfortable, the vet kissed the kitten multiple times. The vet offered to save us a few dollars when they realized that the cost was a little straining to us. I am in retail and I deal with customers all day long, this considerable experience has taught me a few things with one being that some people you simply cannot make happy and they are usually the first to voice their dissatisfaction...warranted or not. I suggest you, at the very least, invest the time to call the Canton Animal Hospital and form your own opinion.

I don't think vets should get away with giving sub-par spay jobs to shelter animals, and then relinquish all responsibility once the animal is adopted because it technically has a "new owner". Canton Animal Hospital is bad news. After adopting my dog from the shelter and finding infected internal stitches sticking out everywhere, I called them and asked them to at least look at it since they did it. They said I would need to pay for an appointment then, and any medical treatment needed, since the dog had 'changed hands'. What's stopping them from giving sub-standard treatment to shelter animals and running this scam to get more money once they're adopted? Nothing, and it's sad and shameless.

Adopt Dont Shop. And don't support a vet who takes his boston terrier in his airplane at high altitudes knowing they could suffocate because of there shortened nose space. Any vet can tell you this!! He only caters to breeders of "pure-bred" and cares more about $ then animals!!!

I had a horrible experience with Canton Animal Hospital and Dr. Goldman. First of all, he is an absolute miserable person to deal with. He is arrogant and talks down to his customers, almost as if he is lecturing you. My dog was in the hospital for a few days and Dr. Goldman made it seem like it was an unreasonable request to get a daily update. He basically told us to stop calling him and he'd talk to us in a few days. Talk about compassion when your pet is really sick. The last complaint in related to the bill. If you go to Dr. Goldman, be ready to be gouged. His prices are way too high. I have a couple vet friends who unfortunately live out of state. I showed them the bill and they couldn't believe the prices he charged for even simple things like medication. Trust me, this Dr. will take advantage of you at a time when you have no choice but to care for your pet. He is a horrible person.
