After reading all of the bad reviews, I wonder if they have had an office staff change? All of the bad reviews are older. I cannot fanthom that these bad reviews are about this facility! Here's my story: My vet was closed. It was snowing hard and the roads were a mess. My dog ran outside and broke a nail. She was bleeding everywhere and I became frantic. I called Torrington Animal Hospital and even though this was not our regular vet, they told me to come right down and even stayed past hours in a snow storm! I was shaking when I arrived and they were just as good at calming ME down as they were in taking very good care of my dog! Truly does not sound like the same staff to me.

Very good with all our animals

I have been taking my rescue dog here for a while now. Every time I have a question I can call the staff and they are very helpful. I feel the vets I have seen here were very nice and professional. My only complaint is the wait time when you have an appointment you are sometimes waiting over 30 minutes before you see the doctor. But, all in all a good vet. I especially like the older male doctor (not sure of the name)

I have always brought my pets here. Dr. Humphry is the absolute best! He is so knowledgeable and his expertise is second to none. His prices are more than reasonable and you can tell he's a vet because he has a passion for it, not just to make a buck. He always treats us and our pets with the utmost respect. The staff has always been kind and attentive. I was actually very shocked to see the poor reviews here. I've never had a bad experience here in the 10 years I've used this clinic.

I called because I just got a new kitten and I explained that she had some bloody stool and couldn't walk on her paw and they pretty much said " Tough luck we don't take new patients" I told her I understand and asked if she knew of other vets in the area. She would not help me. She told me to get a phone book. I understand that you have a policy but have a heart and help someone out you fridged witch. If my kitten dies I am going back to her and letting her know it was her fault for not being a human and helping another person out.
