I've been going to this Vet for 2 years now but my family has been going for more than a decade. Nothing but good experiences. They care about your pet like it's theirs and do their best to keep your little guys healthy. I empathize with those who've had bad experiences but can't say I've had anything negative myself.

We have been going to CAH for 13 years, and we love them. Everyone there really cares about animals, and Dr. Stein and Dr. Hamilton are top-notch in terms of their knowledge and experience. I recommend them very highly.

one word.....awful! If you love your pets, beware, there are some good vets in Gainesville. It's worth the drive to get someone who cares.

I have been going to this clinic for almost eighteen years. I am now on a very fixed income and by myself since my husband passed away almost four years ago. Last week I took my 3 lb yorkie to have an evaluation on her hernias. I had just had her teeth cleaned in July at a $400. price. Since she is eleven I brush her teeth and use a spray to keep down bacteria. I was told I could wait until her hernias were preventing her from going to the bathroom or her intestines come out. I ask how much this would cost me and could they polish her teeth while she was asleep. I told Dr, Stine she had two hernias. He told me between $350 and $400. I didn't want Dottie( the yorkie) to risk emergency surgery so I booked the apt. When I went to pick Dottie up....... I was told it was $801. I was in shock! What could I do? Paid with a credit card and told the tech I was not told this. I guess I have now lost complete faith in people. I have spent multi thousands of dollars over the past eighteen years. The doctor had his tech call and say he would credit back $200. to my account. I told her I won't be back. I guess since people can't afford these services , you take what you can from good dog parents. I can't believe things have gotten this bad. I have lost faith in this clinic and won't be back! BEWARE!!!!

I am a first time dog owner, know little about it, scared to make wrong choices, so take our Slovakian-born and bred German Shepherd service dog (champion) in to Countryside for regular checkups. Went into their office because we could not get the Nutro food in time for dinner for him that night. I was worried. So I asked the woman at the desk to ask the doc what would be a good substitute for that night, anyway, no warning from the doc, about changing diets, possible side effects and that we should wait, no, just, "the Canidae adult dog food is fine." SO, I did, and despite the fact he had only one meal, he developed diarrhea (for the first time, and he is six). I panicked and called their office the next day and the woman on the phone simply said that was normal, we should not have changed diets, and then after I asked why NO ONE warned me of this, she apologized; she did not give me any suggestions as to what to do; finally got the remedy from the Internet. Not going back.
