I had my little dog Dory scheduled for a dental at my vets office. She was supposed to have her two front k-nine teeth out. When I arrived for my appointment my vet told me that for just a little more $$ Dr.Gingrich could help her by saving her teeth and doing a deep root cleaning. I was also very impressed with that idea and then Doctor Gingrich who explained to me all that he could do. They assured me not to be so worried as I was ,due to her going under anasthesia at her age. Also Denise was wonderful! and showed me so much compassion. They called to let me know the dog had to have three teeth removed but saved so many of her teeth. Also to tell me all was going fine. I will tell all my friends what a great job Doctor Gingrich did plus he found a hidden absess that my vet could have missed. The dog did not even have to wear a hard collar and she was fine and even had a light dinner that evening. The next morning. the doctor called to see how the dog was.It was a blessing that I found Dr. Gingrich and his caring staff. I feel very blessed to know we have this wonderful pet dentist. It pays to have the best for our beloved pets. Dory and I thank you so very much for saving her little teeth. Also for hints on how to care for them better. Sincerely ,SusanHeron-Brown.
Charged me far more than the initial estimate, and when a complication occurred during the procedure, I was never asked what course of action I wanted taken even though I was in the waiting room the entire time. Now I have to hope that the tooth in question remains viable so that after spending over $1650 on it I don't have to have to spend additional money to have it removed.
I have known Dr. Wade Gingerich since before he became a board certified veterinary dental specialist. He is an excellent veterinarian and an exceptional veterinary dentist. He did my cat, ZsaZsa's first dental prior to his dental training and I could see and feel his passion for the specialty as I watched him take care of my cat. He was pure poetry in motion and to see such gentle, precise, deliberate instrumentation in radiography, extractions, periodontal treatment was awesome. My 'girl' had no problems post treatment and I learned so much from him (being a dental hygienist) about feline teeth and how brushing was not enough and could even be harmful or painful if a thorough professional examination has not been done to discover underlying disease. Because of him I have been more aware of her behavior, scheduled her for a dental up here in Marion, Iowa, because she just had an awful appearance when I examined her and sure enough, she had feline resorptive leions which are very painful. Fortunately, Dr. Nathan Hein who did the dental has the same wonderful demeanor and love of veterinary dentistry as Dr. Gingerich and though he is not a specialist it was a very good experience. Three months later ZsaZsa wasn't acting right and I suspected more lesions, took her in and I was right, more resorptive lesions and more lost teeth however just like with Dr. G. she had great results so I am blessed to have two such great veterinarians help me with this genetic dental condition. I am so glad that Dr. Gingerich followed his dream and specialized in dentistry but missing him a bunch up here. You in Florida should be very honored to have him available because I ask for his advice long distance. I believe that ZsaZsa's 'dentist' up here, Dr. Hein, and Dr. Gingerich may be having some conversations in the future since the sharing of such knowledge is beneficial to all involved. Bless both of you, "Dr. Wade" and Dr. Nathan" for helping me give my 15 year old DSH kitty quality of life I never thought possible. I know this review is long however being a hygienist, teeth being my business, animal care my passion I just couldn't make this shorter because when I know two 'gems' that make the veterinary profession exceptional I must speak out. Best of all to you Wade; miss you and thanks for all you do for me and the animals.
We recommend Dr. Wade Gingerich to anyone who has a pet with special dental needs. While under anesthesia for a neutering and dental at a different facility we almost lost our little 4.2 lb. Yorkie, Andy, so they didn't get the dental completed. Dr. Gingerich was recommended to us and after meeting him and his staff and discussing his plan on how to go forward with the dental procedure we felt confident Andy was in good hands. Andy came through the procedure with flying colors! Thank you Dr. Wade for taking good care of our Andy!
Dr Gingerich and his staff were highly recommended when our teacup yorkie (Poo Bear) presented visible facial infection below the eye. During the initial consultation, Dr Gingerich presented a thorough and complete discussion of the steps involved in his treatment plan. His compassionate understanding of my concern, regarding my "baby's" situation, completely put my fears to rest. Dr Gingerich's professional demeanor was only exceeded by his obvious extreme level of Veterinary Dental knowledge; he is absolutely brilliant! I am a Licensed Dental Hygienist and yet before Dr Gingerich was aware of this fact he had used models, x-rays and an understandable presentation of where things stood, what his treatment would entail and what the desired and expected outcome would/should be that I had no doubt Poo Bear was going to receive the highest level of care. I am here to state: Poo got just that!! We could not be any happier. Additionally, Dr Gingerich immediately shared Poo's visit outcome with Dr Miller of Harborside Clinic in Naples (her regular vet) who called to let us know how pleased she was to hear of the positive treatment results. However, the professional, caring effort did not end there. The following day (a Saturday) I had the most pleasant phone call from Dr Gingerich's office "just following up on Poo Bear's evening before and how was she doing today?". I told them "Mommy" is great because her little Poo is already showing signs of feeling much better. If your baby ever needs veterinary dental care; please do not hesitate to utilize the superior services of this great Doctor and his Team. Lise Eichenlaub, RDH; an extremely happy mommy.
