I started taking my kitten to Dr. K in 1998. She is now 17 and still in great health thanks to the wonderful staff at Chiquita Animal Hospital. She also has a sister (canine) who, of course, is also a patient. I love that when I come in, even when I haven't been in for quite a while, they know my girls by name! I recommend Chiquita to everyone I know who has pets!

I've been taking Ryder to Chiquita Animal Hospital since I first got him all the way back in 2010 after receiving a recommendation from another patient and I am so glad that I decided to go! Doctor Bean has went above and beyond time and time again taking care of my little boy. In the winter of that year, while visiting family up north, Ryder got attacked by a cat whose claw went all the way through his eye. The vets up in Pennsylvania made him stay a few days of staying at the ER Vet's there was no improvement their next course of action was to remove his eye - something I would not allow. Upon returning to Florida a day later I immediately took Ryder to Chiquita Animal Hospital and he saw Doctor Bean who put him on a few different medications. Within two days all cloudiness in his eye was gone and now it's over three years later and his vision is perfect! I recommend Chiquita Animal Hospital and Doctor Bean to everyone who needs a vet and will continue to do so! Not only do the techs and doctors remember us when we come in, but they treat my dog as if he were their own. I will continue to recommend you to everyone who needs to find a good vet! Keep up the great work!

I have taken my pets to Chiquita for many, many years, for treating a number of cats as well as a dog. They've helped me educationally and emotionally when it was time to make a decision about ailing and terminally ill pets. The staff is always kind, competent and compassionate. My pets have received quality care, and I have great faith in the knowledge and competency of all the vets when it concerns treatment and care of my beloved fur babies (I have my favorite, but really they are all good, so no worries if a particular vet is not on the schedule). Let's face it, all good vet care can be a bit expensive, but they don't push you by upselling treatments that might be a good idea, but not always a necessity. They do care that you provide all the necessary basic care your pet requires, and that's a good thing. Chiquita Animal Hospital also offers a variety of office hours, which helps if you're a working person, including half days on Saturdays. I wouldn't recommend them if I didn't wholeheartedly believe that they have the best interest of all their animal patients at heart.

Dr. Kacoyanis is professional, caring and personal. Dr. K. talks to Charlie, questions him, pets him and loves him up. All the while I know that the petting is really Dr. K's way of making Charlie feel comfortable and completing an examination of Charlie. Dr. K. has gone out of his way to research the proper medications and search for viable solutions for Charlie's particular problems. Dr. K. always takes his time when he's in the room with Charlie and me. I never feel rushed, or placated as other vets, and even human doctors tend to do. On my most recent visit, when they were unable to get the results of a certain test, they took the charge for that test off the bill. When I have questions about Charlie's care or medication, I receive a phone call directly from Dr. K. I have witnessed the staff being communicative, kind and complementary of all the pets in the waiting area. I go out of my way and actually drive a good distance to get to Chiquita Animal Hospital. I could not ask for a better vet.

Always kind always available, and have been invaluable to my little Dachshund Shortie. I would not go anywhere else, have had experiences with multiple doctors here and happy with all of them. Having an 11 year old male long hair rescue dachshund has had its share of surprises and Chiquita Animal Hospital was always so understanding and helpful to me, giving me wonderful advice without pushing unnecessary services on me which has happened to me in the past. Also the vet assistants there are great and clearly love their job. The best!
