Dr. Riley is very attentive to my two dogs and I am extremely happy with this vet. When I had an issue with my younger puppy, she received outstanding care at an affordable price. Staff is very friendly, engaging and remembers me. Highly recommend this vet clinic for treatment of general care like shots, to any pressing matters. I feel confident that they are taking care of them as if it was their own pet.
I have three small dogs and this is the best vet I have ever taken them to. The staff are always so friendly and always make sure to greet my pups with a kind voice and pet on the head when they have to come here. I think it makes them at ease, and I love the extra effort to make them a little calmer. (Makes taking them to the vet a little less stressful for me as well.) Half of the time Im pretty sure my dogs don't even notice when they are getting a shot because they always want to make friends with the staff. Will always continue to take my fur babies here. :)
I went to this vet expecting the worst after reading these reviews. I needed a vet quick and they were the only one willing to work me in. The clinic itself was very clean and modern looking. The staff were very professional and friendly. The doctor seemed to really care about my pet. She explained the medications to me and when I got to the receptionist she made sure I understood the instructions. This practice was professional, helpful and now Boots (my puppy) is back to her happy, playful self :-))
Unfortunately, I will not be using this Vet's office. I have used them in the past. Not until this last visit was I just so upset. They billed my checking acct twice. They refused to call the credit card company they use. They refused to help. Instead, I had to contact my bank where they were able to find the transaction numbers. Some kind of customer service! I was lucky I was told by my bank that they were able to find the information. Once this was obtained I had to call the Vets office back give them the transaction numbers so they could call the Credit Card Company. Now, I would think that the CCC could have run some kind of audit for the date of my appt and say a few days afterwards to look for an exact amt taken twice. That was to much work. I was also told that even if I brought in my bank statement showing the 2 payments they would not give me a refund. Because they only show 1 payment being received. Over the course of this whole process never an apology. So, how do I get my money that I'm out now? Not to mention the humiliation and aggrevation I have to deal with now, trying to recover the money. I've contacted the BBB about this as well. If you do use this Vet, Cash&Carry!!! Be ware!! Update:I'm happy to say this issue is now being resolved. After being hung up on, being put on hold for minutes at a time. After being treated like, well we were paid you'll just be put on the back burner. There was no urgency with my situation. Finally, the actual Vet called me, gave me the phone number to the Merchant Service that the vet's office uses to process their cc/debit payments, which I had asked for 2 days ago, was given to me. I called them and within 10 minutes problem solved. Adding to the incompetence of the office staff. Once again, obviously it was to time consuming to put this call in and explain that the cc machine time out, my card was run a second time causing my account to be billed twice. Now, I have to wait 7/10 days for the refund. I do appreciate the vet calling me and picking up where the office staff failed. With this being corrected, unfortunately, I will not be using this vet again. Just for the way I was treated by the office staff. Like it wasn't their problem, I was taking up their precious time and the attitude "You'll have to fix it on your own there's nothing we can do", which is exactly what happened.
I have 4 dogs that have been treated on multiple occasions by Dogwood over the past 6 years with no complaints. I had 4 of my dogs fixed by Dogwood a few years back. I was surprised to see the negative reviews, but still chose to take my dog there for treatment recently. In contrast to dtrandrazzo, I let the Dr. know right up front that I had financial limits and the Dr. worked very welI with me to accomaodate my dog's needs, and my financial constraints. I took Anna Marie's advise and only used cash/check to pay...no prob there. I did not feel overcharged for the services that I received, but understand that it is a business that must show profit of some sort (cricket's review). The staff has always been very friendly, courteous, & professional with me. I felt it necessary to jump on here and offer a fair follow-up to my experiences after reading the negative reviews and still chosing to utilize Dogwood. I will update again if I have any bad experiences in the future. Thank you to the other 3 reviewers for sharing their experiences.
