It is my first dog and it was rescued on the miami animal shelter, I came to the Quiet Water Animal Hospítal because it had cough kennel after I leave my dog didnt feel well and it was 8:30 PM and she is vomiting a lot, I called the emergency number and the doctor met me there in 10 min, took a good care of my dog and was really nice. It wasn't about money it was about to be a nice and good doctor. I really recommend them. My puppie is feeling better and I'm very satisfied.
We have taken our dog there twice so far. The first was the day we found him, and took him there to see if he had a microchip to find the owner. They checked, he did not, and also gave him a cursory health check (male, all parts there, looked at teeth for approximate age, possible breeds, general health, fleas), all for free. I called them a few days later about getting him fixed there and they admitted that they cannot afford to do that inexpensively, and recommended other programs for lower costs. We got our dog fixed at Planned Pethood in Miami, but as we live here, when a week a later he started showing signs of infection (he got the cone off a couple of times and gnawed at the stitches), we took him in today and they could not have been nicer. They looked him over, confirmed it was infected, and charged us only for the cost of an antibiotic shot, rather than a full office visit. This is definitely good business and has made us very happy, not to mention more than willing to tell others!
I liked this place because of the staff, the vet, the clean kennel setup and the fact they didn't overdo office visit requests. Then my dog got cancer. It only took me about 10 minutes to find all of my dog's symptoms on-line so I'm sure the vet knew what she had as well. But when she started bleeding out of her nose one day he decided a K-9 tooth "might be" the problem and extracted it. I'm convinced my dog had to go through that trauma because they wanted to make some extra money during her final months. I wish I could take my new dog there and forget it ever happened but I can't. Still I won't give this place a bad rating. But my dog had a lousy ending, made worse by an unnecessary procedure. That's cold.
I have been taking my pets here for about 8 years and have never had an issue. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats and they have always been well taken care off. I even kennel my dogs here when I go on vacation. The rates are reasonable. Dr Ledesma will do everything possible to help your pet. IMO There is no way the Dr is going to just order a procedure on your pet for the hell of it.
Affordable! He will never prescribe something so that they can get money. Very affordable. :)
