Went in a week ago cause my dog was dramatically sick hadn't ate for days wouldn't walk or go to the bathroom or drink. Paid 87$ and asked for a receipt that didn't even say what shots and tests they had just given her. Been waiting over a week now to hear test results. Was filthy in the rooms. And wouldn't let my other dog inside cause they said he may be contagious. And he wasn't nearly as sick as she is . Thank god she has a good immune system or who knows if she could've died cause they didn't even tell me that they thought might be wrong with her. Staff are rude and half a** doing their job had to go back in and ask for a sample container cause they were so quick to dismiss me and my puppy.

Our Dog is plagued with food and environmental allergies. We have been clients of Dr. Chris Gladieux since our dog was 6 months old and he is now almost 7. The office lobby is small and they have heavy foot traffic. This is a testament to the practice; they have many clients like us who are pleased with Dr. Chris Gladieux, his office manager Siobhan and the staff. They will be upfront and honest about options, cost and alternatives while working to do the best job for your pet. Englewood Animal Hospital continues to serve our dog with thoughtfulness and compassion.

This place is horrible! Dirty facilities, the secretaries do not even greet you. It was a mad house full of animals, our dog freaked out. My mother went there because she read on the paper that they will beat prices from other clinics, and her bill ended up being more than usual in different add ons they sneak in. When I asked to speak to a manager, the guy was arrogant and condescending, poorly trained, unfit to be a manager. You pay for what you get for, and we are happy with our vet in Port Charlotte even though we have to drive. The animal clinic in Port charlotte is clean, presentable, and professional.

Englewood Animal Hospital: Horrible, Unethical, Liars to sum it up properly Took 1 yr. old male cat for LASER declaw because he was fullsize and BLADE declaw is not good for fullsize cats. At pickup next day got charged for bladed declaw price.. REDFLAG.. asked why.. stated billing mistake and paid full LASER price. Took 45 minutes to get my cat to front and then female doctor pulls me in exam room. Stated it looked like he got the LASER to her, but the cat chewed on his paw and bleed alot so it took so long because they had to clean him up.. Went home worried about him, and further examined him at home to find all the toe pads to be bloody and tips cut off. This is something that isn't suppose to happen with LASER! Called to talk to Doctor ROBERT who did the surgery, no go.. he wasn't in until next week monday.. Spent all rest of week and weekend watching cat carefully and comforting him because of the obviously HUGE amount of pain he was in. Called monday morning, finally got call back from him at 5pm. Stated that he did do the BLADED procedure because LASER crapped out. Not only is that unethical of a doctor to assume a patient will be fine with whatever procedure they feel like doing it is ILLEGAL. He asked to see cat next day to make sure he was ok.. went first thing in morning, doc bob spent 2 seconds looking at cat and 5 minutes trying to negotiate a refund for me!! refunded upcharge of LASER (obviously should be refunded) and another 30 bucks out of the 100 bill for troubles.. I dont' care about the $$ but the 30 refund is a slap in the face after the fact.. DO NOT GO THERE EVER.. WHAT A JOKE OF A BUSINESS !!

Used to be a great place and inexpensive but that all has changed with the hiring of an efficiency expert. The 2 good vets Dr B and Dr G are gone now, the place is always overbooked and they rush you thru to get maximum $$
