My experience at Shores has been wonderful, albeit sad. I adopted a dog two months ago who turned out to have cancer. We saw Dr. Ortiz about 4 times in our short time together. Dr. Ortiz was wonderful with my pug and treated both of us with respect and kindness. When it became evident that my girl was not going to make it, I took her into Shores. When I let the front office staff know, they immediately took me to a private room. They treated our situation with enormous sensitivity. My sweet girl went peacefully and easily thanks to their great care. I am so appreciative that such a difficult experience was made easier by their kindness.

Since our three elderly rescued cats moved to Florida two years ago, Dr. Seufert has been our veterinarian. She has recently saved our 15 year old Richard's life by flagging the first sign of a very aggressive cancer at his wellness check. It was a subtle change in his blood work and has enabled us to treat him early. We hope for a golden year for him, or better. Shores has access to the latest equipment and diagnostic tests. Their staff is very well trained (in addition to very kind and concerned) and have many connections to the University of Florida Veterinary Medicine.

I recently changed from a local vet in Gainesville to Shores as my boyfriend brings his pets here. I witnessed the dedication and compassion when my boyfriend had a elderly pet put down. I have 1 suggestion though. Each time I go I have witnessed the phone ringing and constantly interrupting the from desk staff from giving one on one attention to the customers. I would like to suggest someone to cover the phones at the morning and late afternoons for the customer service to be focused on the customer and not toggled back and forth to those on the phone and those brining in or picking up pets. When I went in the a.m. there were 4 pets waiting for drop off and 5 awaiting for pick up clearning the front desk for payment with pets in hand.

Thank you Dr. Shores. Your kind, caring and very competent service gave me the piece of mind I needed. I especially appreciate your personal phone calls. I know without a doubt that you give each and every animal in your facility your undivided attention.

I cannot recommend this veterinary clinic nor the Prestige Pet Resort more highly! I have a very needy cat, and they have always taken very good care of him. We have worked with Dr. Shores, Dr. LeClear, and Dr. Ortiz. All have been outstanding.
